After devoting his first New York campaign trip to Donald Trump and Fashion Week fetes, 2012 presidential hopeful Rick Perry is getting down to business this time around.
Perry is back in Manhattan this week, courting voters in the city's large Hispanic and Jewish communities — two typically Democratic voting blocs that the GOP hopes to woo away in 2012.
The Texas Governor is hosting a rally with Israeli politicians and Jewish-American activists at the W Hotel tomorrow morning. The event is centered around President Obama's visit to the United Nations and the Palestinian application for statehood, expected to be submitted to the General Assembly this week.
The Jerusalem Post reports that members of Israel's Likud Party will be at the press conference, and plan to ask Perry to support an initiative to annex the West Bank in response to the Palestinian bid for statehood.

It’s not just New York Jews. Heck, it’s not just Jews. Anyone who is distressed by Obama’s loathing of Israel should be upset. Our only ally and the only democracy in the Mideast is being targeted by Barack Hussein Obama. Who could have seen THAT coming? It’s as if he was raised a Muslim by Marxist parents and spent 20 years listening to the Israel hatred of Jeremiah Wright. Wait . . . .
US Jews are such a small percentage of the population there’s no reason to cater to them.

Anyone here notice yet the fakeness of Business Insider? They are 100% leftists but mask it with their titles of articles and for every pro-American or Pro-free market article they have, they have 50 from the likes of Krugman and other hard core dopes.
I used to go on that site often but after months of watching closely how they operate I’ve come to the conclusion that it is pure trash. Pure ant-free market trash with the hidden agenda of supporting Obama and anything needed to get him re-elected.
Look for much on Trump constantly attacking Obama in this rag - but guess why!
They are setting up a great assist for O with some 3rd party candidate and I think they will use Trump for this.
Obama has given the GOP an opportunity. Best to make the most of it.

I will take Rick Perry’s stand on Israel any day over the wedge Obama has tried to insert between America and Israel.

As much as Rove is persona-non-grata here as of late look at his model.
Went up the Mississipi and went after small businesses with Simple and Sep-IRA's that made things, with HSA's and less than 100 people. They got them all and may have laid the ground work for the 2010 victories in WI and MN.
The point is you leave no vote on the table. As someone close to the Jewish Community, a very high percentage of them vote.

I was stumbling around there yesterday and found that they partner with the NYT and HuffPo. In addition, the CEO has been given a lifetime ban from securities trading and was issued a 4 Million dollar fine in federal court.
This is about the single worst site to post from on the net.
They live in swing states and a close election their votes could swing it. District races though could significantly be altered.
However I don’t care about pandering to them. I happen to support Israel and detest how Obama has treated them. Not just them. All of our real allies he’s been doing his best to alienate and I’m tired of it.
Where were you last week when the Jews voted Republican in Weiner’s seat?
The tide could be changing and its smart of Perry to recognize this and make a strong statement and to try to work with Jewish groups.
It is about time the GOP goes after traditional Dem voters. Obummer has made things so crystal clear as to the vision of the modern Socialist Rat party that now is the time to get in there and show them there is a better way.
This is a smart move on Perry’s part and I hope he is able to persuade a few to come over to our side much like Reagan did in the 70’s and 80’s.
I think you're right there. If you look at the post I just had after yours (post 8), taking the time to reach out to Jews speaks to me as a Christian. Whether the US Jews vote Dem or not, as conservatives and for those of us who are Christians, we should stand by Israel and be her friend.
Rick Perry indicating his stand with Israel by taking the time to speak with Jewish Americans would seem to me to reach out to the Christian community, and it should also speak loudly to the conservatives of this country.

It might help Florida, especially if the seniors are scared.
A few Jews here, a few Hispanics there, a couple disaffected Blacks and other traditional Rat voters and before you know it, you have a enough votes to beat Obummer. Remember the phrase "Reagan Democrats"? No reason in the world we can't achieve this after the train wreck of a President we have now to demonstrate the disaster of Liberal thinking.
You bet its a smart move! I bet all the other candidates are saying “dang...wish I had thought of that”.
They are too busy practicing for their next debate attack on Perry while Perry is out showing he’s way ahead on all the issues and showing he knows how to address them.
