When Navy Lt. Gary Ross and his partner were searching for a place to get married, they settled on a site in Vermont, in part because the state is in the Eastern time zone.
That way, the two men were able to recite their vows before family and friends at the first possible moment after the formal repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Just after midnight Tuesday, the partners of 11 years were married.

They did not marry each other.
They entered into a legally constructed partnership defined by a state government, which has defined the terms of a specific marriage for the sole purpose of advancing special class rights above the rights of all others.
A marriage is the union of a man and woman. It is universally accepted and longed for between men and women and parent for their progeny.
There are no parents who don’t cry upon learning their child is gay as their family tree has just ended and they realize there will be no grandchildren for them to fuss over or spoil.

All social issues are state issues, so Perry would have the ability to overturn gay marriage.
If he’s really conservative, once elected president, he will be able to overturn this, but there’s no point in committing political suicide at this point.
Wait until it becomes an election issue.

What is Perry’s plan for dealing with this FEDERAL issue — will he try to undo this embrace of homosexual behavior in the military or NOT?

The Cheney’s “gay” daughter has produced her own biological children through artificial insemination from a male, while considering her gay partner to be the other parent to her children.
And the Cheney’s are thrilled with the grandchildren produced this way. They have serveral by their heterosexual daughter and now this. As they look at it, their cup runneth over.
This is where the slippery slope has led in a famous American family.

Force the candidate to state a position that could prove his un doing, and not get him elected and allow a Democrat to regain power to continue their onslaught on American values.
I get why a Democrat would do this, but I’ve never understood a conservative who would do this. It seems suicidal for the conservative position.

It’s called having the character to take a moral position even when its unpopular; and when doing otherwise emboldens the enemy and further confuses and desensitizes the sheeple toward their demoralized self-destruction.

In 2003, the Supreme Court heard the case of two homosexual men who had been arrested and convicted under a Texas law that prohibited the act of sodomy. Reversing its decision from 17 years earlier (upholding a Georgia ban), the Court found a right to homosexual sodomy. Justice Kennedy explained why by digging back into a special concurrence from the “Casey” decision upholding abortion when he wrote, “At the heart of liberty is the right to define one’s own concept of existence, of meaning, of the universe, and of the mystery of human life.”
I don’t even know what that means, but it certainly has nothing to do with the Constitution or the law.
The real concern lies with the direction the Court clearly wishes to take the nation yet refuses to admit. Gay marriage will soon be the policy of the United States, irrespective of federalism the Constitution, or the wishes of the American people. Not because it actually is protected in the Constitution, but because judges will declare it so.
