Rep. Connie Mack questions Secretary Hilda Solis about how she classifies a green job. She is caught in a squeeze trying to lie her way out of false reporting by categorizing a bus driver job as "green" if they drive a hybrid bus. Finally, he hits her with a truthful statement about administration deceit.

Does this mean if a coal plant office clerk exclusively using recycled paper is in a green job.

You’re busted, Solis.
Now resign, or get fired.

"Does this mean if a coal plant office clerk exclusively using recycled paper is in a green job." In the mind of the Obamanites it does. As long as it is a new job that they can claim responsibility for. Here's a follow up.

These lefties get all confused when someone calls them on the failure of the STATED purpose of the “green jobs” agenda,
because the true agenda is far different. “Green energy” is incapable of supporting a capitalist economy, and that’s the whole point of pushing it.

If “green energy” were capable of supporting itself, it wouldn’t need government subsidies.

I wasn’t talking about the viability of a green energy market within a capitalist economy.
I was talking about the replacement of viable energy sources with green energy causing the destruction of said capitalist economy. THAT’s the goal, and that’s what we’re seeing.

Sheer madness! Under the "standard" presented to Issa's committee, ANY mass-transit job is a green job, as mass-transit is more environmentally friendly than individuals driving their own vehicles. Solis tries to convince Rep. Mack that they created a new, green job when a (formerly) unemployed banker became a driver of a bus. The B.S. meter is pegged here!
If mass-transit jobs are all green jobs then, unless the net employment of mass-transit workers has increased, there are Z-E-R-O net-new "green" jobs. In Solis's case, if the bus driver was filling an open position, vacated by someone else, then that's NOT a new green job, it's just someone else at the wheel. And if Oakland, CA converts more of their bus fleet from gasoline or diesel to natural gas or hybrids, do their mechanics now count as "green" mechanics? Do the administrators, and route-schedulers, and IT staff now all count as "green" jobs too?

With all the fertilizer this administration produces green house jobs should be booming.
