Hispanic population outstrips estimates
UPI ^

Posted on 09/28/2011 7:48:47 AM PDT by xzins

WASHINGTON, March 15 (UPI) -- At 38.7 million, the Hispanic population in the United States is larger than expected, an analysis of the 2010 Census by the Pew Hispanic Center indicates.

The 2010 Census counted nearly 600,000 more Hispanics than estimated in 28 states, the Pew Center said Tuesday.

The gap between the 2010 count and estimates of the Hispanic population by the Census Bureau were widest in states with relatively small Hispanic populations, Pew said.

It was more than 10 percent higher than expected in Alabama, Louisiana and Kansas.

"Hispanics are in some places growing faster than we had thought," said Pew demographer Jeffrey Passel. "This sort of broad pattern suggests immigration into these new areas was a bit higher."

Data released from 33 states indicated Hispanics accounted for 58 percent of population growth in the past decade.

you know those vague 20-30 that’s now 40 million lettuce pickers who pay taxes and take jobs Americans don’t want to do, like carpentry, painting, municipal road work, truck drivers, roofers, landscaping, movers, meat packing, poultry, supermarket workers...yeah those guys, operating an automated lettuce picker doesn’t pay enough......surprise,surprise.

It doesn’t give a breakdown. My guess is that very few illegals turned in Census forms. That would be like putting a target on their backs.

in that case, there’s probably 80 million total.

I agree with you, but I wouldn’t go as high as 80 million. Maybe 50. I don’t know how you’d estimate it.

Maybe some were picked up in that “statistical analysis” that the 2010 census supposedly used in some places, so if we took half the estimated illegal population of about 15 million or so, and added it to this reported number of about 40 million, then we’d have in the neighborhood of 45-50 million.

But that’s just a wild guess with lots of assumptions.

The Hispanic Pew Center? How objective is that I wonder?

With all the immigration, both legal and illegal, it’s time for the USA to put the brakes on it. Catch our breath and see what maximum numbers we really want. I think taking a sabbatical would be in order since there’s so much illegals here. Use those resources to find and deport those not belonging here.

I don’t care what the ethnic breakdown of the population is as long as most of them are Americans, love the flag and Constitution and support what America stands for.

Everything else is irrelevant.

The GOP has a lot of problems. The Tea Party is just the “Tonic” the doctor ordered. The next dose they need is to make a more vigorous outreach to the Hispanic and Black communities. They have to stop “writing off” these people DESPITE rebuffs from the racialists who try to dominate their politics.

With people like Marco Rubio, Colonel Allen West, Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, and many others, we KNOW that there is hope for conservatism and loyalty among ALL ethnic groups in America.

Many of the troops which have fought and died for this country from its very inception have been black, and starting around WW2, Hispanic, in background.

As long as they consider themselves Americans first, that is all I care about.

And I am a white Anglo-American, despite the tagname.

oh great ...70% vote Democrat as a rule...sometimes more...especially among newer arrivals

Bush got maybe 38% according to some questionable polls in 2000

wow...38%!!!

folks better start caring unless you think you can change generations of voting habits on a dime..which you can’t

platitudes are not called that for nothing

do we have no GOP that will answer this with anything but pandering?

Since they were analyzing census data, they were speculating on the numbers provided them by the US Census.

The 40 million or so Hispanic number seems to make sense. So does the large population growth. Anglo couples tend to have a very low birth rate, just like their European counterparts, so it’s inevitable that America will eventually begin to take on the appearance of those having the most babies.

Who would "target" them. My understanding is that illegal invaders were "encouraged" to cooperate with the census, more money and power for their "home" areas.

even the legal ones that don’t speak english and can’t read or write won’t participate in a census. The census is counting only a specific group of hispanic...the legal ones that can read and write and speak english. That’s why I double the number. I suspect if a very thorough counting of all residents in the US was conducted, the breakdown would be like this:

40% caucasian
35% hispanic
10% black
10% mixed
5% all others

Hispanic population outstrips estimates....2010 Census counted nearly 600,000 more Hispanics than estimated in 28 states, the Pew Center said Tuesday.

Phony Third World agit-prop---inflating the size of their voting blocs to rig elections and get their hands on US tax dollars.

===============================================

LATINO CENSUS SCAMS were outed right here on FR.

FR POST: I directly witnessed Hispanics ‘coach’ other Hispanics on what to say to California census takers ..... in order to: (1) inflate Hispanic numbers at the address, (2) to make up names, and, (3) list Hispanics living elsewhere as living at that address.

An Hispanic PhD candidate at a research foundation said the census scam was perpetrated to give latinos more representation...and more govt giveaways from vote-crazed candidates. That census game occurred 20 years ago and was being perpetrated in Hispanic communities throughout the West.

NOTE----Falsifying official documents is a felony. Providing false information to a census taker is a violation of federal and state law.

Keep in mind---latinos pay several thousand dollars to establish multiple identities with forged documents. Jose Madrigal, the Washington state rapist, had some 30 identities. Another illegal collected $3.5 million in UI checks using false identities.

=========================================

The census was co-opted and moved into the WH when Ohaha came in. The US census operation has been fully politicized. Dems are cooking the census books, manipulating the census, turning it into a vote-rigging machine.

Q. So how can the census be turned into a vote-rigging machine?

A. Census Bureau managers create, say 10,000 bogus census questionnaires, in each district. Lists of faked people are kept on file and registered to vote in various precincts. On election day, ringers are bussed in, armed with lists of registered names.....they then use the faked names to vote.

One issue is that we white folks don’t like to have babies anymore. Black folks have a huge number of their babies aborted.

Hispanics, on the other hand, many of them Catholic or from largely Catholic cultures, have large families and abort far fewer babies.

I understand that Asians were the 2nd leading growth group.

I think some probably did, but if it were me, no way I’d trust a government agent of any kind.

I don’t, and I’m not Hispanic.

Wasn’t Reagan’s line about a horrifying prospect being someone saying, “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you.”
