After Demise Of ‘Don’t Ask,’ Activists Call For End To Military Ban On Transgenders
The Washington Times ^ | 9/28/11 | Rowan Scarborough

Posted on 09/29/2011 2:24:49 PM PDT by Lmo56

With homosexuals now able to serve openly in the military, the gay rights movement’s next battleground is to persuade the Obama administration to end the armed forces’ ban on “transgenders,” a group that includes transsexuals and cross-dressers.

This is obviously ridiculous, but clearly not surprising. What I find interesting is that you can be excluded from participating in the military because of physical/health criteria - the obvious reasoning being that you won’t be able to perform adequately in combat and thus become a liability on the battlefield.

Why isn’t the same reasoning applicable to those who would at the very least be a distraction to their fellow soldiers and thus potentially a liability?

(Yes, I know the politically correct answer).

If I remember the show correctly, Klinger was trying to get out of the Army via a section 8 discharge for a mental disorder. If he tried that today, he’d probably get a promotion

exactly
Many of us on here and many of us vets said we do not want this don’t ask being overturned.

What was amazing was the handful , some now banned so called conservatives who had no problem with flaming openly serving homo’s being allowed in to the military.

It’s the same as marriage, we still have dopes which say Govt has no reason for marriage or the bigger dopes which say they have a friend and they’re nice .

It is not about marriage, nor about serving, it’s about a bigger agenda, an agenda which will want to have sex with little kids, to make this sexual perversion accepted and forced into the schools, to have little boys being injected with female hormones because he is being raised by two homosexual women. This is happening in CA as I type.

For the idiots who say no problem wiht queer marriage or don’t ask being overturned then wake the hell up will you

Queerly logical progression. Shame on you if you didn’t see this coming from a long distance. Queers are pushers.

Mr Man - Yes. Yes, yes I see. (diffidently) I was just wondering whether it would be possible for me to join... the women’s army?

RSM - The Women’s Royal Army Corps, sir?

Mr Man - Yes. I was just thinking, you know, if it was possible for me to have my choice ... I’d prefer to be in the Women’s Royal Amy Corps.

RSM - Well, I’m afraid that the people that recruit here normally go straight into the Scots Guards.

Mr Man - Which is all... men... I suppose?

RSM - Yes it is.

Mr Man - Yes. Are there any regiments which are more effeminate than others?

RSM - Well, no sir. I mean, apart from the Marines, they’re all dead butch.

Mr Man - You see, what I really wanted was a regiment where I could be really quiet and have more time to myself to work with fabrics, and creating new concepts in interior design.

RSM - Working with fabrics and experimenting with interior design!

Mr Man - Yes.
RSM - Oh, well you want the Durham Light Infantry then, sir.

Mr Man - Oh.

RSM - Oh, yes. That’s the only regiment that’s really doing something new with interior design, with colour, texture, line and that.

Mr Man - I see.

RSM - Oh yes, I mean their use of colour with fabrics is fantastic. I saw their pattern book the other day - beautiful, beautiful. Savage tans, great slabs of black set against aggressive orange. It really makes you want to shout out, this is good! This is real!

Mr Man - Really?

RSM - Oh yes. I mean the Inniskillin Fusiliers and the Anglian Regiment are all right if you’re interested in the art nouveau William Morris revival bit, but if you really want a regiment of the line that is really saying something about interior decor, then you’ve got to go for the Durham Light Infantry.

"No general, not even ours, will want to take on America’s internal army for there is a gun behind every blade of grass."

I think they have thought of that.

Their first plan is to confiscate all arms held by civilians.

Their second is that rifles, shotguns, and pistols will provide little resistance to a high-tech military armed with such advantages as heat-seeking missiles, tanks, helicopters, etc.

When Clinton was first elected and there was so much talk about lifting the ban on gays I got into with a younger brother of mine. He had disappeared when he turned 18 for fear of being drafted and sent to Vietnam and stayed missing until the war ended and the draft was stopped. Here he was lecturing me on how the military should be open to everyone. He is not gay but he was the typical liberal hippie who spouted the left wing garbage without one moment of thought about what it actually meant or what the effect would be. I had served on an aircraft carrier and I knew the facts, I don’t know if he has ever forgotten what I told him that day.

Another dictatorial leader also believed that somewhere in the late 1770's. Didn't work out so well. Up here in the Northland, a little ritual is about to commence. It's called deer hunting season.

Hundreds of thousands of armed citizens trudge through well-known countryside that to the newbie looks impenetrable. This happens all over the nation.

They are a force to be reckoned with.

Bring it, Ego-bama!

this is one of the basics of my current frustration with our 'representatives'...

left, lib, progressive, socialists, communists, muzzie marxists dont ever even stop to take a breath...they roll a victory and immediately work to exploit the breech and pour thru with a follow up assault...

woouldve made Patton proud of the energy and ferocity of the determined advance...

our side pushes meaningless paper and tries to play fair...

i might just need to go throw up now...

Military chaplains told to shy from Jesus

Mr. Baugham said the 350 chaplains he oversees are concerned about a new set of guidelines issued in August after complaints about Christian evangelism at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. The Air Force guidelines allow “a brief, nonsectarian prayer” during military ceremonies “to add a heightened sense of seriousness or solemnity, not to advance specific religious beliefs.”

“So, to what deity do you address your prayer to?” Mr. Baugham asked. “No one knows. And who gets to write the prayers? Once the government becomes the approving authority, the poor chaplain is forced to be an agent of the state.”

Mr. Baugham said he had “just got a call from an Army chaplain in Iraq who says he’d be hammered if he used Jesus’ name. Chaplains are scared to death. They must clear their prayers with their commanders, they can mention Jesus’ name at chapel services, but not outside that context.”

Don’t both men and women in the army already kinda dress alike? Isn’t a female soldier already dressed the same as a male soldier?

The progressive victory repealing DADT that Democrats passed and Clinton signed in 1993 (FORCED BY PUBLIC PRESSURE) was an example of one side fighting working year after year to change public opinion, and the other side establishment Republicans primarily FNC being completely AWOL on the subject relating to molding public opinion.

I also blame GWB and Bush era congress. If GWB was a success relating to the economy then Democrats in DC never would have had this chance.
