Gov. Chris Christie is seriously rethinking his months of denials and may launch a campaign for the White House after all, a source close to the governor said tonight.

In the last week, Christie has been swayed away from his earlier refusals to run by an aggressive draft effort from a cadre of Republicans and donors unhappy with the GOP field, said the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

Are you talking about Romney or Christie or both?

"I am sorry, that argument does not hold. Everyone knew Reagan was running in 1980. He even had an informercial in the Summer of 1979.

He also had a long-running radio commentary he wrote himself that covered every issue and gave the nation a chance to know him personally.

OK. Christie is too liberal for me, but there is no doubt in my mind that he could verbally destroy Obama on a debate stage & in campaign speeches. I'm not that confident of the other Pub candidates, although Cain is sounding good.

Watching Christie chew up Obama would be a pure, lasting pleasure. If he could sneak in the phrase “there you go again”, just once, at the perfect time, I think he could win all 50 states.

In terms of decisiveness, Chris Christie makes Sarah Palin look like Gen. Anthony McAulffe at Bastogne.

Well said. I have read her book and researched the political climate in Alaska, particularly in regard to the way she “upset” entrenched Republicans if they got in her way as she moved Alaska in a positive direction.

As you obviously know, she left her post as Governor for the good of the state of Alaska. She saw that the constant media, pundit, spiteful republican and leftist focus on her personally was having a negative impact on the citizens of Alaska.

Her decision to step down was not an indication that she is indecisive, but rather unselfish.

Well the deadline is tommorrow and she has stated she will miss her own self-imposed deadline because she hasn't made up her mind. :-) That's indecisive and there is no getting around it. That is unless you don't believe what she says and think she is lying which I don't

So she'll be indecisive if she doesn't announce her decision by tomorrow, but not if she does it in, say, a week or so? Come on, now. She'll be lying? Really? That's straining a bit to make a point.

She told Jake Tapper on 8/13 that September represented "a drop dead time line" to consider jumping in the ring. She told other reporters that same day, CBN's David Brody among them, that "September,October" represented a time frame to make known her intentions to her followers. To CNN's Peter Hamby (link here) also on 8/13 she said, she said "August/September" timeframe is important", but then went on to say, "After another month or two goes by, they need to know who it is that they can jump behind. The end of September, Palin then said was "still a possibility for a timetable." I could go on and on with these. She's been more ambiguous and tentative than you think.

When one looks at ther full breadth of the transcripts of interviews with Palin on this subject, one sees that she's not really made a consistent and clear-cut "End of September I'll let the world know my decision" statement.

She's got wiggle room. And should she make it clear she wants to extend her announcement until the end of October, are you really going to say she's a liar? A lie is asserting something to be true that you know is false. Missing, or extending, a deadline one hoped or planned to make is not a lie.

I wasn't disputing that. I was merely poking fun at how some people sit around rubbing their hands together hoping their savior candidate will suddenly jump in the race and bring toys to all the good little boys and girls Charlie Brown. Won't you sit in the pumpkin patch and wait with me?

Two words.

Herman Cain.

Christie REFUSED to participate in the suit against Obamacare.

He was the ONLY Republican to attend a dinner in honor of the Red Chinese Ambassador hosted by Obama. Many OTHER Republicans were invited but refused to attend.

He’s a RINO along the John McCain model.

I welcome him running as he will split the RINO vote. But I don;t want him nominated.

Perhaps these folks you poke fun at, hate everything about Romney, don't like Perry's views on illegal immigration and don't like Cain's position on the meaning of the Second Amendment.

So I’ll take that to mean you’ll be hiding out in the pumpkin patch then. I’ll send Lucy to hold your hand.

We are months away from the primaries. It's up to the current field of candidates to earn my support. So far they are failing at it. Perry fails on illegal immigration. Cain doesn't understand the Second Amendment. Romney fails at everything.

There is no reason I should commit to any of these candidates at this point in time. Yet you respond with utter nonsense.

Okay. I’ll switch metaphors and still keep it in the Schulz genere. Let’s pretend I’m Palin, Christie, etc., playing the role of Lucy. I’ll hold the football and you run up and kick it to the moon.

P.S. Sorry, I should have typed “Sally” instead of “Lucy” in my previous post.

Much like Sarah Palin, it’s good for future business and political aspirations to jerk the 24/7 media around for publicity and public amusement...
