Warning: The threat of suspended elections is real

With absolutely no proof of any kind of who he really is, Barack Obama made it to the Oval Office in 2008. There was no media vetting of the largely absentee senator from Illinois, who even back then had the temerity to compare himself to Abraham Lincoln. All anyone ever had to go on was an autobiographical book suspected of being ghost-written by an unrepentant domestic terrorist. We all know how it goes with politicians and autobiographical books.

While I know that POTUS Obama would like nothing better to assume the mantle of Hitler or Mussolini as the dictator of the USA and...would willingly take whatever actions to accomplish that goal, it will not happen, because the overwhelming majority of Americans would refute his action both verbally and with force!!! However, having said that, there is no doubt in my mind that Obama coached and prompted Governor Bev Purdue of North Carolina to utter the treason words she spoke recently. Obama got his reaction, and....it was just what he wanted. The sheep (citizens & voters) of North Carolina have let their Governor slide free on her treasonous remarks in suggesting that elections be canned for two years. Remember....this has never happend once in the entire history of our nation!!! Obama is now confident, that, if need be he can null and void elections and assume dictator status. Now....had the voters of North Carolina demanded Perdue’s resignation or impeached her, this subject or action would have no life whatsoever. But with the voters of NC asleep at the wheel, our freedom and liberty are truly at stake as long as POTUS Obama remains in power!!! Sad!!!

Never happen until they disarm us.

Nah. And they'll never take over GM and Chrysler either.

Getting rid of Obama kinda reminds me of the dilemma Kramer's boss had on Seinfeld. How do you fire someone who has no business being there in the first place?

Even should they fabricate a crisis as an excuse to attempt such.

I would accept a suspension due to nuclear war or alien invasion. Anything else should be rejected with extreme force.

“A dangerous new chapter is being written in American history”

-Democrats calling for Suspended Elections.
-Presidential advisors stating publicly that we have “Too Much Democracy”.
-Extrajudicial Executions of American Citizens without trial on the order of the President.
AND THAT IS JUST THIS WEEK...

We are indeed entering a dark period of American History, I fear.

Try “unprecedented civil WAR”.

You are right, of course.
But to pick at nits, IMO "civil war" suggests perhaps a near balanced struggle (measured either in people or material) between two forces both of which may have somewhat reasonable motivations.

I prefer "Taking Back America" - from the thugs/socialists/communists/RINOs.
If our history is objectively recorded, it will be obvious who the good guys are and who are the thieves.

Palestinian “leader” Mahmoud Abbas’ term expired in January 2009. But the world continues to pretend that he’s the elected leader of the Palestinians. Obviously, this isn’t true. But this may be the model Obama is following. I thought it was a dangerous precedent then and I think it’s still a dangerous president now. The world wanted to continue the fiction that there was a peace process and leaving this man in office was the only way to do it. Now, how many elected leaders around the world are looking at this and thinking, “Hey, I could do that!”

Having said that, there’s no pretext to allow the government to suspend elections. They weren’t suspended in the Civil War, WWI or WWII. Why would we allow them to be suspended now? Because there’s an economic emergency? This is worse than the Civil War?

Obama would have to have a lot of people die to even try this; half the Supreme court, half the Senate and most of the House for starters. Maybe it would be better to impeach him now rather than risking the 14 month wait for an election. The life the Senators save might be their own. And, yes, I think there will be enough Democrat votes in the Senate to remove Obama. They want to save their own skins from unemployment.

This is how democracies end. Elections are suspended for some emergency, and they never return. We shouldn’t be naive and say “it can’t happen here.”

We do have a couple of things going in our favor:

(1) We held elections during the Civil War. It’s going to be hard to argue things are worse to day than the Civil War.

(2) Elections in our country are run by the states, not the federal government. Suspend 1 national election, maybe. But suspending 50 seperate elections is a differnt story.

While suspending the elections and having Obama become like Ceasar Chavez might be a liberal’s wet dream, it won’t happen. There would be open armed rebellion and I could see the US military not going along with it either. However, Democrats are desperate as they pretty well know Obama is almost certain to lose next November and will open up their bag of dirty tricks to steal the election where ever they can. Look for ballot box stuffing like in the election of Al Franken, voter intimidation by union thugs and the most vicious smear tactics in any election ever held.

The MSM wll be all for it and justify it with their prattle. Most sheeple will do nothing. The military know who pays their bills (DC). The Roman Republic became a Roman Empire and the citizens shrugged, less responsibility for them. More bread and circuses.

Guess the NC governor was spewing dnc talking points after all.

I think maybe more like talking out of turn. That some people in the Obama Administration have been thinking about this has been obvious to me for a couple of years now. But talking about it well ahead of time may be counterproductive for those who want to make it happen>

IF something like this ever happened it would probably take place this time of the year. Like late October? Much easier to controll the masses during the winter month. Food supplies could be cut off and what would people do for food? Not to mention snow would slow down all the snow state if noone removed it or put gravel down.
Just think about it. That is how they could control a large population. Even a heavily armed but not so prepared population.
I think the good guys would probably eventually win but not before a lot of people were killed or mamed and/or half starved to death.

Warning: The threat of suspended elections is real

The threat of suspended elections is no more real than the threat of armed revolution.

No matter how you slice it or dice it, it would amount to treason.

The penalty for treason is death. No exceptions.

“Never happen until they disarm us.”

Exactly.

This is one of the reasons the forefathers created the Second Ammendment.

The right said it about Clinton.
The left said it about Bush.

And we made it thru Y2K without martial law.

(this is not to say I put anything beyond the pale of jackass in the WH)

What could cause a “National Emergency” big enough to get elections suspended?

First off, Pres. Johnson already researched that one. The Constitution itself would have to be suspended, and that is ONLY done through a declaration of martial law. Johnson considered it only as a means to avoid riots he thought were going to happen due to the shootings of MLK and RFK and from Vietnam protests. As it turned out, cooler heads prevailed and we had an election.

In this case, it wouldn’t be to avoid riots, but a naked power grab meant to bring the country under complete control. As it is, any such move would be instantly seen for what it was and it would be stopped. What Barry the Boob and his cronies need is a ‘trigger’, something that frightens the populace so much that martial law would be welcomed.

What could do that?

Obama has ‘joked’ more than once about wanting to govern without Congress.
