“Still a Possibility:” Sarah Palin May Enter The Race
ABC News ^ | October 4, 2011 | Shushannah Walshe and John Berman

Posted on 10/04/2011 8:11:40 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

According to a source with knowledge of the inner workings of SarahPAC, inside the Palin world it’s still a possibility that she might run. However, as the deadline approaches not even her staff knows what she will decide.

ABC News has separately learned that the Palin team is well aware of the filing deadlines and are keeping abreast of the changes in the deadline. Politico reported Tuesday that a law firm that employs an attorney representing SarahPAC had been making calls to early states inquiring about presidential filing deadlines. SarahPAC would not confirm the report to ABC News. When reached by ABC News, Mark Braden—the attorney mentioned in the Politico report—would also not comment or confirm the report or that he even works with Palin.

As the days creep toward those state filing deadlines, no new staff has been hired. Her core group of about seven staffers runs the organization while a volunteer group completely independent of SarahPAC called Organize4Palin or O4P tries to lay the groundwork in states, most notably Iowa. Those close to Palin acknowledge the decision is hers to make alone with her husband, Todd, and that she could decide the day before the first filing deadline that she wants to throw her hat in the ring....

She’ll get in.

And I’m not impressed with the others either, but I will vote for Cain as of right now and also Newt!

I disagree. It’s why I said I think we’d come up with a better conspiracy theory. States always have this rivalry and it seems they try to pay musical dates every year.

I still think she’ll enter and believe she can win but it’s not in her make-up to back down and she can always adjust her declaration date to fit the new timetable.

See my tagline.

I'll bet you that you can't bundle $2 million for Palin. What are the terms of the bet?

SARAH PALIN DOESN’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT THE MEDIA WRITES.

Then why is she threatening to sue Random House/Joe McInniss? If she doesn't care, why have her attorneys send a legal letter to his publisher?

“I’d support Palin over Perry if she convinces me of her vision for the future against attacks from other candidates.”

I’d support her over Perry right away. We know what she stands for but Perry sounds like more of the same kind of Republican that lost in 2006.

Thanks very much for your replies. It seems the consensus is she didn’t commit to a decision by late Sept.

OW, I thought it mattered because if she did commit to that time frame and it’s passed… well you get my drift.

“That’s a distinct possibility.”

Maybe there’s an intrade poll. That could settle the matter.

If she’s going to win, it will be because of her appeal and straight talk. Not her ‘vast’ executive experience and experience with the hostile media.

Remember, we are only comparing and contrasting Palin and Cain.

Being 14 Trillion in debt, do you really think Americans would just shrug off Cain's total inexperience in ANY TYPE of Government position? Imagine if Reagan had only been an Actor when he went up against Carter, instead of having been a Governor?

“Palin could have made whatever imaginary reasons you assign to states moving up their primaries irrelevant by, ummm, declaring a few months ago.

Is that what the excuse is going to be? Most people will see it as Palin waffling and missing out on the dance, but I can see how the dozen or so here who are Palin fanatics will push that conspiracy theory.”

______________________________________________________________________________

This brand of carping about her proves conclusively how feared she is. She’s got for more going for her than that RINO Romney; than the hapless, stumbling, discombobulated Perry; than the speak-before-he-knows-the-facts-of-the-media-pile-on Cain; and than the perpetual candidate without ever winning Gingrich - he of the partnerships with those gals Pelosi & Hillary. Leaving alone the one man freak show that Ron Paul is - who has no chance to win anything. Sarah Palin has more enthusiastic committed support from conservatives and Tea Party goers than any of these nitwits in the race so far. Romney couldn’t inspire a lottery winner to go on a spending spree; he’s a dull as sawdust. To think THIS is the front runner regarding donors is pathetic; the RINO establishment had to beg Christie to get int o the race exactly because they now fear Romney - the socialized medicine authoring believer in man-generated global warming who steered clear of Tea parties for 2 years - might actually win the nomination. If he does, it’s 4 more years for Obama, guaranteed. It’s no mystery the Lame Stream Media so desperately wants Romney as the nominee - and they will destroy all others vying for the nomination to make sure Romney is the nominee. Even that harping shrew Ann Coulter - the #1 Christie Pimp - now says the ticket thrilling her is Romney-Cain. Of course, this is a far cry from what the anorexic American Fag Hag (her new official title as a result of her GOProud Board Membership) had to say a CPAC in February. Back then, Coulter carped to the CPAC crowd that if “..we don’t nominate Chris Christie, Romney will be the nominee and we’ll lose”. This same Romney who now thrills her. She should eat something - what’s left of her brain is clearly malnourished :)

Being 14 trillion in debt, you want someone with an analytical mathematical mind. You’re not going to fix that problem by selling a plane or 2. Cain proved he could handle Bill Clinton over hillarycare.

But didn’t she fight the crooked GOP elites by ousting them? She can’t oust all of the elites in Congress. She has to work with them. Sure, she can use the bully pulpit to sway public opinion, but in the end she needs the elites’ votes to push her reforms.

That Big Oil money came from raising taxes on the oil companies. She can’t force U.S. corporations to pay more in taxes while lowering corporate tax rates at the same time. Raising corporate taxes is a sure way to send jobs overseas.
