It’s between Cain and Perry. Both have problems to overcome. Perry’s problems are well known. Cain’s are just coming out. I think that his 9-9-9 plan will be hard to sell to most voters, especially the 9% sales tax and the elimination of SS payroll tax. We need to know more details.

Santorum, Cain, Bachmann (reverse alphabetical order). I can support any one of them.
Michele Bachmann, verifiable Constitutional conservative and right on the issues and the issue of Perry's mandating Gadsil which goes directly to revealing his character and propensities to abuse power and has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not Gadsil is an appropriate medication. Couple that with his unshakable stand on illegal aliens and a blind man can see what his leanings are;
Herman Cain (although he's getting close to replacing Michele as my favorite) needs more vetting as to his background, views and any character revealing decisions and not so much as to what he's now saying even though the factual outline and superb presentation of his plan is what has caught my attention;
Rick Santorum, conservative, and Newt Gingrich (yes Newt Gingrich), a conservative but also an establishment Republican. Both can be bought but they also can be cowed if close watch is kept and we ride herd on them. Santoruem's Arlen Spector support and Gingrich's cow towing to President Clinton on that stage debate, the New York district race, and supporting the "Wicked Witch of the West" sitting on that couch has really given me pause on the depth of his character.
As for my opinion of Rick Perry and Mitt Romney, they both have a records as left leaning establishment Republicans on the order of John McCain, who is more a Democrat than Republican. Rick perry I would vote for notwithstanding the above character flaws and only in a last man standing situation.
Mitt Romney ……………. Oh my G_d! Can someone tell me how this guy was elected Governor of a state that is 99% liberal and he is to be considered a Republican, a touted conservative Republican no less? A person doesn't get elect in that state unless you flip flop all over the place. His Massachusetts health care plan should be the nail in his coffin and no other facts need be presented. I will either leave the Presidential portion of the voting ballot blank or, while weeping, write in Sarah Palin's name. No one should ever be asked to hold their nose and vote for him as the lesser of two evils ………….. again!
Now for some FR posters, what I have said may appear to attack candidates and be offensive to their delicate sensibilities but as the adage goes "Politics ain't bean bag" and to seek out facts to determine a persons character has to be done and stating those facts isn't trashing them.

Romney is the most conservative candidate in the race. He will win the nomination and go on to win the General Election.
Well, if they give him money, maybe they will vote for him. Hispanics for sure won’t be voting for Romney. Don’t think Catholics think too much of the Mormon religion.
If we could convince them Obama is Muslim, they wouldn’t be so keen on him either.

I’m afraid too many will see Cain as a black Romney. With Cain sidling off to promote his book, pause to regroup, or whatever it is he’s doing, I see Romney taking a large lead.
That happens, I’m buying stock in Grecian Formula.
And it may not matter so much unless the people who loved Obama but now hate Obama get out there and vote.
Who am I supporting? None of them. Since the wife and I are now severely underemployed, we can barely support ourselves.

As much as it troubles me to say this, I think I may take another look at Newt.
Can’t support any one of the three.
Haven’t found a suitable candidate for that particular office at this point.
Since you have met Gov Palin in person, could you please let her know that there are millions of us who were praying she would be our next President. Of course, she needs to do what the Lord advises. But please let her know some of us felt we were hearing from the Lord also and that He had called her for such a time as this.
Very, very disappointed as her Presidency would truly bless our nation. Please tell her when you have the opportunity as you have met her before. Very disappointed. Not in her, but that she won’t be our next President.
