So long Yankees! The Tigers go on to meet the Rangers. Justin Verlander pitches tomorrow night.

As a Jays fan I’m happy. Rays out, BoSox out, and best of all no damn Yankees.

Bless you boys!

Frankly, I forgot about this game five, we have so many championships in the offing here, it’s difficult for me to keep ‘em all straight. ;’)

Thanks Vigilanteman.

:(
Well at least NY won’t be in flames at the end of the month though even that may be in doubt if something isn’t done about those ‘occupiers’

Not that it’s not been said, but that late-season fade by the Red Sox was a little amazing. Didn’t they lead their division most of the season?

We're smug because our came-outta-nowhere governor appeared to be a RINO trojan horse, and turned out to be stone cold serious. :')

They have a better chance playing players that are healthy. ARod was not healthy. He should not have played. That is on the manager.

That said, ARod had some great games in the field. He is a very good third baseman.

But, as others have pointed out, it’s nice to see Detroit knock them off.

So they couldn’t buy another championship again—big deal—they still bought plenty in the past.

MLB is the Yankees taking a million dollar bankroll to a poker game when all the other teams have no more than a thousand each.

Pretty sorry if you still lose the game.

Ain’t no real competition without a salary cap.

That's two years in a row that an A-Rod strike out has taken the Yanks out of the post season.
In 2010, I think he was called out on strikes to end the ALCS against the Rangers.
Hehe.

I’m not mad at Cliff, at least Texas got Adrian Beltre as a consolation prize.

Yeah...what's up with that? Wasn't Beltre supposed to choke after signing a lucrative contract? I think he enjoys playing with the Rangers...has to be a better atmosphere than the Roid Sox.

Actually, since Yankee stadium is one of the few that sell out, winning 27 championships puts money in more pockets than you can count. The stadium is amazing.

MICHIGAN PING LIST

Please freepmail me if you wish to be added or dropped from the mitten ping.

The sports write-ups are going to be about the Yankees losing, not about the Tigers winning. I'm shocked.

Nicely done, guys!

Not so fast. In the regular season the Tigers record against the Randers was 4-2.
