Woman charged after pelting husband with cupcakes

In the heat of a domestic dispute, a Chicago woman pelted her husband with cupcakes before police arrived to arrest her Saturday night, authorities said.

The sweet evidence of her crime was visible on her husband's head and shirt when officers responded to the home in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side, according to a police report.

On Sunday morning, Cook County Circuit Judge Adam D. Bourgeois Jr. ordered electronic monitoring for the woman and a $10,000 bond. She is charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic battery.

If it were cup cake fruit cakes, would that be assault with a deadly weapon? ;-P

My ex's cupcakes would make fruit cakes seem light and fluffy...but they would have left "[t]he sweet evidence of her crime was visible on her husband's head and shirt when officers responded to the home...;" he would have been out cold.

My buddies and I played 3 innings with one, before it finally broke...

...the bat, ending the game.

Cupcake Wars!

See what watching the Food Network has brought us to? I say he should sue Mario Lopez for giving her the idea.

I’m sure there’s a tort lawyer who’d take the case.

I beg to differ. I happen to think that far more dangerous to the society are those who insist on having, and those who include so-called “sarcasm tags” with their posts.

This should be humiliating to this guy. If I were a responding officer to this, I would have laughed at the guy and told him not to bother calling if she started throwing hard candy.

Statistically, an enormous percentage of physical abuse is done by women against men - and they get away with it precisely because there is no legal way to deal with it. Women can be verbally, emotionally and physically abusive, and then instantly claim victim status and win without ANY evidence, and they know it.

I say this guy showed a lot of courage. He didn't punch the crap out of her, and he faced up against the humiliation she was counting on him being afraid of, and called the cops and got her sorry excuse arrested.

And he did it when he was no doubt totally enraged. THAT's being a man.

She forgot the egg?

AND the baking powder.

Almost as bad as when a SIL 'substituted' baking soda for baking powder (she was out) in her Lemon Drop Cookies. It became quickly clear that they were Don't Drop Them Cookies.

If you soaked them in hot hot coffee for about 10 minutes, you COULD get a nibble off the edge of them, without having to drill and use blasting powder.

Cmon, it says she threw snack cakes at him. That is hardly abuse. In fact, it sounds like a joke. Let’s just call the police every time there is a food fight at a school cafeteria or popcorn that is thrown from the back of a movie theater. Gimme a break. If she actually physically harmed him, then I would not have a problem with what he did.

He’s probably a freeper who overdosed on the political threads and getting hit with devil’s food was the final blow. Snicker.
