Businessman Herman Cain is leading President Obama in a new head-to-head poll, with seniors and independents taking a particular liking to Cain's unconventional candidacy.
The survey from Rasmussen Reports showed Cain squeaking ahead of Obama in a hypothetical general election contest, pulling in 43 percent compared with Obama's 41 percent.
The lead is within the margin of error. But Cain is the only Republican to have any lead over Obama in head-to-head polls conducted by Rasmussen over the past several weeks.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney was trailing Obama 41 percent to 43 percent in a survey earlier this month, but that's as close as a candidate has come.
The survey follows Cain's recent burst in the polls, as the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza touts his 9-9-9 tax plan -- which calls for a 9 percent across-the-board income tax, corporate tax and national sales tax.

Well, Cain is just the flavor of the month, doncha know?
This is exactly why all votes must be not only counted but varified.......including the military. Those percentages would be too close and the fix would be in for the administration. People also need to control their states votes. That is going to be key.
This news is not gonna make talking heads on TV happy (Karl Rove, Bill O’Reilly, Britt Hume among others)

Im working Mr Cain into my every day conversation. Especially when people bring up the economy. Which they do A LOT. I’m asking people, “have you heard of that Cain fellow?” I say, “the more I look into him the more I like ehat he has to say. He seems solid. Cain? Why Cain? Don’t you know that Cain is just Mitt’s stalking horse! Cain-Mitt, Mitt-Cain, it doesn’t matter Mitt has merely sent his errand-boy Cain out to fetch him the nomination. Why even with 51% of the delegates Cain will just turn them over to Mitt. Cain is running just to sell books and get a nice cushy job on Fox don’t you know that? Cain is part of the FED! Cain has horns and a tail! Cain wants your first born in taxes! Why one FReeper just last night was posting about how Cain was the Anti-Christ!

We have now seen the return of RATSPEAK. In ratspeak when a Democrat is down by 4 he is “practically tied.” When the Democrat is down 3 it is a “statistical tie” When the Democrat is down one or two he is “pulling ahead” When the Democrat is up one it is a “commanding lead”
Unless the Republican is up more than 5 points he is “slipping” (it makes no difference where he was in the previous poll.) Finally when a Republican wins by less than five “there are ‘credible’ charges of voting irregularities.” Ratspeak, watch for it and you’ll see it.
