How many people even knew who Herman Cain was 3 months ago?

It seems that the more people hear him, the more they like him.

He has backtracked on a few statements, but he’s a straight-shooter and he’s not a career politician, but a breath of fresh air.

He has a year to polish his style and not be so outspoken where he says things he later regrets, but overall, people like what Herman Cain has to say, and more importantly, what he has accomplished.

He’s much more than just a CEO of a Pizza Franchise.

Perry is flaming out which is so good for the country.

Perry spent a month in California 4 or so months ago trying to train them how not to lose what’s left of their business base from moving to Texas. They moved here anyway.

Next time Perry counsels California on how not to go completely tits-up, he will be POTUS and a position to do something about saving California.

As another FReeper noted, California and Texas have been dealt nearly the same deck since 1990, yet CA has failed and
TX has prospered.

Tell me again how Perry ‘flaming out’ is so good for the Country? You weasel?

Hold on to your hat, With Perry bombing and Cain moving up Cain is getting lots of attention he didnt get before. He has to watch any questions he gets closely and study up for the next debate on foreign policy. That could be his Waterloo if not careful.

The rest of the field are duds (I do still like Bachmann though) and so Cain is really making it interesting, hope he doesnt blow it.

I can appreciate how Cain is seen and do think he’d be good in Washington...so does He for that matter! But I’m getting fibs he’d be willing to settle for less than the Presidency despite what he says otherwise.

I have no doubt he really didn’t expect to come this far so fast...and so he’s not been prepared with the ground crew needed to take him the rest of the way, and it hasn’t looked like he’s doing much in that area even now. He cannot win without it.

So then the question is what is reluctant Perry and Cain doing in this race? Not to mention Ron Paul who simply creates havoc and does nothing for this race...in fact hurts it as he always does. He won’t step down though...he likes stirring it up and feeling powerful by doing so. I detest him almost as much as Romney....he’s all about himself.

Then there’s Bachman who seemed to get more on her game this last debate. I was really irritated that the only way she seems to get her voice heard is to yell out for the attention...which no candidate should have to do...she has something to say which needs to be heard and they all should be heard... but of course the media has their darlings....and they are indeed pushing this election to the Obama drumbeat.

Perry had to be taken out. All Cain ever wanted was to run interference for his friend, Mitt Romney. From the beginning, he was auditioning for VP, even said so. Anyone who wants him has to take Romney on top which will negate all Cain’s “when I’m President, I will fry Mexicans, etc. “ The catchy 9-9-9 battle cry will be silenced evermore. Probably the only way Romney wins that evangelical vote is with Cain by his side. I’ve said that since day one. Somehow I knew Fox had decided early on. Hume all but shut the door on everyone else. . I’m sticking with Perry because I believe in him. If he decides to leave the race, I’ll go with a rejuvenated Newt Gingrich. I hate political wrestling. I never liked tag teams even though I like the individuals okay. I’ll vote for the Republican ticket even though Romney is no conservative....and I don’t think Cain minds that.

>>So let me get this straight. The "frontrunner" is currently running a distant 4th in the largest Republican state.
>>Seriously, media?

I assume by the "frontrunner", you mean Romney. He's from Massachusetts. Perry would not do well there so why assume Romney would do well in Texas? And Ron Paul is also from Texas, so no surprise he splits the centrist's voters with Perry.

Cain is up by 14 in TX? Wow. That’s excellent news for the Cain campaign. There’s a good chance he’s leading in every Bush state save Utah.

Obama was auditioned to be Hillary’s VP, and look what happened there

This is state number 11 for Cain.

Tally is 19:19:11.

If Herman has Texas and Florida, what’s left for Perry?

Are the primaries over? Have they even started? Maybe Cain bought tainted pepperoni for those pizzas...real cheap. :)

Please point me to where Cain said that.

“So does “RuPaul.” Heck, he even violated his own principle once when voting to “authorize” Pres Bush to send troops to Afghanistan.”

Actually Ron Paul has violated his economic principles many, many times...for each of the thousands of earmarks he has put into bills. Fraud...even on economic matters.

Perry is playing catch up on taxes because Herman Cain was willing to put out a plan first and stand by it.

Cain’s numbers don’t surprise me...

But Paul??? Beating Perry in his own state???

Folks... add Cain’s numbers to Pauls numbers....

What does that tell you about how happy Texans are with Perry???

To me it makes Perry look even more stupid.

He doesn’t realize that Cain’s NST is actually a detractor for him right now.

WOW, thanks for pulling all that together. I can see Romney winning NH, he’s right next doorbut I could see him finishing a strong 2nd. Florida is a horse race but I think Herman will win that. South Carolina, he’s got it. And if he beats both Romney AND Perry in Texas, that would be a great sign. Hadn’t see the Hawaii poll before, impressive!
