I am going to commandeer an abandoned water tower...Strategic position. And MAN!, I got room for several floors to the place when I do the interior..lol
It just looks like a heck of a lot of work with little payoff:
The way I figure, I lay low for a while until that cute young thing down the road turns into a zombie, then she chases me around for a while until I let her catch me and start munching on my body parts, and then I get to come back to life and hunt down any other surviving cuties and take my turn.
I really don’t see much of a downside.
right where i am now... cause i have ZOMBIE-MAX!!! 
Best place to be is wherever my 10 year old grandson happens to be. He is not only an expert on all things ZOMBIE related, he has also learned a fair amount of real survival skills from his grandpa. We joke all the time that he can be in charge after the zombie apocalypse...
My choice is Helm's Deep!

I have seen pics of real some castles that might work if they weren’t in Euroland... put them in rural Alaska or Montana and it’d be worth a mint. heh

Best place to be when there are zombies is a wide open flat frozen tundra with nothing around for a hundred miles. Build a fort on top of a tower and watch for funny walking undead stumbling around with extremities frozen solid.
Yeah. Great field of fire, and half the year, the zombies freeze solid!
