Georgia businessman Herman Cain, who continues to battle past allegations of sexual harassment, draws the most support nationally for the Republican nomination.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely GOP Primary voters shows Cain with 26% of the vote over former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney’s 23%. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich draws 14% support, with no other GOP contender reaching double-digits. Thirteen percent (13%) of GOP voters are undecided at this time. As for the rest of the field, Texas Governor Rick Perry picks up eight percent (8%) support, Texas Congressman Ron Paul gets seven percent (7%), both Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann and former Utah Governor Jon Huntsman each pick up two percent (2%), while former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum draws support from just one percent (1%).

A vote for Perry is a vote for Romney.

I want you Perry swooners to consider this carefully: If he can't debate effectively, think of the 'deer in the headlights' look he would have had in front of the cameras if he had but one incident like the several bogus shots Cain has just endured.

“A vote for Perry is a vote for Romney.”

That sounds familiar, but Perry’s support is so low that I’ve changed it to Newt...who I do respect - but I think that Cain is stronger candidate when it comes to going up against Hillary.

“I want you Perry swooners to consider this carefully: If he can’t debate effectively, think of the ‘deer in the headlights’ look he would have had in front of the cameras if he had but one incident like the several bogus shots Cain has just endured. “

An important thing to notice here is the amount of time before this attack broke on Cain - it was WEEKS. I have NO DOUBT that the same would have happened to Perry, if he was able to stay in the lead for more than 5 hours.

He had a great interview with CNN’s John King today.

Don't worry. There will be too few of them to make a difference.

Can you say BACKFIRE????

I love this guy more and more that he tells the media to F off

when that bozo kept asking him question over and over after he just finished saying he was not answering... and he told him “what did I just say”

I would have sent him ANOTHER check if he had slapped him on the head

Great news! Cain’s number one even after Perry tried to screw him. Perry as usual is in single digits. Getting pretty close to the bottom of the barrel....no wait, he is there for sure. Some Perry Lovers think that Perry is coming back....ROTFLMAO. Oh best news of the day is that “jla” has been zotted by Jim. Getting rid of them one by one.....HAPPY DAY!!!!!

Stop giving Oklahoma a bad name with stupid statements in a public domain for crying out loud.

Perry's supporters here have made precisely that argument against Cain, repeatedly. Doth the irony of it sting too mightily?

Too bad. I've endured that kind of crap from the RINOS on this forum for long enough to have earned the pleasure of payback, especially when Rove and crew ran Arnold in California, thus wrecking our last chance to save this misbegotten State. They told us he was a "fiscal conservative" and then we watched him bankrupt the State in bond debt and regulation. Perry's supporters tell us he is a true conservative while he abets the hispandering of America into a the land of demographic no-return.

So, cry all you want. It will be repeated until he mercifully departs.

I don’t think so.

I think it’s going to be a totally Catholic ticket.

You can figure that out, right?

Good luck with your payback and enjoy it until you b!tch about what it is that you finally achieve with your "change".

For all we know by next November the country will be screaming for Perry....or possibly Gingrich...or perhaps Bachmann.

There is plenty of time for political venting before the elections.

I wonder how the “polls’ would change if Sarah Palin re-introduced herself to being a candidate for the next election?

The Romney-Rove RINOs can’t derail Cain....and Texas can keep their RINO Perry even if he didn’t have a hand in helping the DNC media scandal-mongering.

Much like what the government does with unemployment statistics, the following chart represents a 4-poll "rolling average" for the latest 20+ polls listed at RealClearPolitics.com (plus recent weekly national polls from YouGov).

I also weighted the polls by their size. For example, a poll with a survey size of 1000 was weighted proportionately heavier than an 324 survey size.

Weighted 4-Poll Rolling Averages of the latest 20+ Polls listed at RCP [as of Nov 3rd]
plus the "YouGov" 10/25, 10/18 and 10/11 polls,
and the 11/1 Poll Position poll inserted chronologically

*I estimated Ron Paul's support in the 11/1 Poll Position at 7.9% in order for his strength to neither go up or down at that point.

(I have the methodology of this chart on my profile page, but it needs to be updated with the most recent polls)

You are right Mr. K, that Herman Cain is telling the MSM and driveby's to "f" off.

He is apparantly taking Donald Trump's advice is is going to go nuclear back upon them, including possible legal action....this will really flush the "oppos" cockroaches out from under the carpet who planted this scorched-earth, uncalled-for "scam" and "scandal" (smear) with Politico.

As a result, if it turns out those who contrived this hatchet job on Herman Cain never can work another day in politics and have to take a job as a shoe salesman down at the nearby Foot Locker, while it will just make my day. They will definitely deserve all the backfire in their face that can be generated...and it will also serve as a warning to others. BACK OFF on the smears! Libs. Rino's. RNC-types. Talking heads. Former high-flying advisors. I don't care who you are. Just BACK OFF.
