Right on both counts.

Kasich gave a press conference. A very respectful press conference at that.

He also said Ohio “ is broke “........cant remember if it was Ohio is broke or we’re broke.
But nonetheless, we ARE BROKE ....... and we’ll be even more broke but the dumba$$ Demoncraps will find a way to blame it all on Kasich instead of giving credit where credit is due; to themselves and their union thuggery shenanigans.

Otoh, we passed by large margin to be free of Ovomitcare ~ WOOT on that front.

Correct. Teachers used to be insulated in the same way, but not anymore. Including police and firefighters was a massive tactical error, despite being true. In politics only winning counts.

Bankrupting the State of Ohio is not gonna work out for them in the long run, but then, they deserve it.

This falls under the watch out what you ask for category. I completely agree.

This is the silver lining and it bodes poorly for zero’s chances even in OH and it might give Kennedy a nudge to the conservative position (although the latest district court position was disappointing to say the least).

The conservatives are sitting back scratching their heads wondering what the vote NO really meant. Like I said, dumber than a box of rocks.

Well said. I guess Ohio is stubborn.It took democrats of the south some time to come around that the democrats are not the good guys any more.The Jewish vote in America is finally waking up to the democratic lie that they feel they’re pain.And now Ohioian’s will wake up after they are a dust bowl and the Browns win.

Let them celebrate tonight - tomorrow they pay the price of their stupidity. I hope many of them do lose their jobs - it will serve them right.

Quote: “I am sorry for Ohio.”

I am happy for it. They voted for turning their state into an economic wasteland, now let them live in one. Honestly, you get the government you deserve. Besides, I know a few states that would love, LOVE to have some of those businesses that will soon be leaving Ohio. Go on over to Wisconsin or down to TX or Florida.

As for Kasich, he went about this hamhandedly. He should have exempted the firefighters and police. Take away that aspect of the bill and you rob the unions of their greatest weapon. I would like to think that Kasich and the Republicans will go back to the drawing board and do this right but knowing Republicowards as I do, I am sure they will be busy acting like democrats and passing more bennies for the thugs.

Sorry, America, You are not getting the real deal. Obamacare was wiped out in Ohio. It was blown off the map!!! Obamacare went down worse then the public service employee proposal. Love the Gov, but he should have isolated the teachers from the cops and fireman. Good news is, the Gov & Legislature can fix the problem rather easily!!! Hey, all of us make mistakes!!! Let the unions crow for the moment, then bleed them to death a little drip at time!!! Big news is, Obamacare got destroyed at the ballot box in Ohio!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
No they are not. At least on the general part of the conservatives in Ohio.
The ballot language was very, absolutely very clear.
Yes to keep the law
or
No for repeal the law
I voted today and I live in Ohio so this I do know.
Besides the gazillion NO on issue 2 signs all over the freakin place.
The thugs saw to it that the voters were confused.
As a matter of fact, they were confused. Even the DUmmies had a thread asking what they're suppose to be voting for. I think the unions counted on the confusion.
Yeah, it should be put back on the ballot in 2012, but next time make it clear. I think the tax payers deserve another chance. Better yet, in all fairness, petition a redo because of the error.
I think you hit the nail on the head. It was confusing and I am not from Ohio.
But non political junkies probably thought that the law was already on the books and bad and voted yes to appeal the bad law?
Obamacare got routed in Ohio!
That is the proof that the union bill was not about Obama or supporting Obama.
Kasich was terribly served by the Ohio Legislature that loaded that legislation up with all kinds of junk. Honest to goodness, they tried to spell out HOW evaluations would be done on workers. It was silly. It got so much into the weeds that it even had students evaluating teachers. Honest to goodness. ("student satisfaction, which may be measured by surveys,questionnaires, or other forms of soliciting feedback")
Sen Tom Niehaus, a wheeler-dealer, helped construct a bill that would never pass.
Had this been a clean bill just about collective bargaining over pay and pensions this would have passed by a landslide.
The media is going to present this as some kind of triumph for Obama. The truth will be that Ohioans looked at this over-reaching bill and rejected because it was a monstrosity.
It’s a stupid thing as some of those losing their job may not have supported this. It will happen.
The unions demagogued the issue by scaring voters into thinking there won’t be enough cops and firefighters if the Issue 2 passed
They'll be pension poor like Illinois pretty soon.
