Another Obamacare Glitch (Huge! Hussein Trying To Re-Write Law With IRS--not Congress!)
Wall Street Journal (Link has full article!) ^ | 11/16/11 | Adler and Cannon

Even if ObamaCare survives Supreme Court scrutiny next spring, its trials will be far from over. That's because the law has a major glitch that threatens its basic functioning. It's so problematic, in fact, that the Obama administration is now brazenly trying to rewrite the law without involving Congress.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act offers "premium assistance"—tax credits and subsidies—to households purchasing coverage through new health-insurance exchanges. This assistance was designed to hide a portion of the law's cost to individuals by reducing the premium hikes that individuals will face after ObamaCare goes into effect in 2014. (If consumers face the law's full cost, support for repeal will grow.)

The law encourages states to create health-insurance exchanges, but it permits Washington to create them if states decline. So far, only 17 states have passed legislation to create an exchange.

This is where the glitch comes in: ObamaCare authorizes premium assistance in state-run exchanges (Section 1311) but not federal ones (Section 1321). In other words, states that refuse to create an exchange can block much of ObamaCare's spending and practically force Congress to reopen the law for revisions.

Independents and libertarian-leaning voters seem to think that gridlock is good because it means that huge budget-busting bills won't get passed. The same people merely have to look at much of Dubya's presidency as a counter-example.

The trouble with this thinking is that a political crisis, whether real or imagined, makes it easier for politicians to abuse their power. If there is a widespread perception that 1 government in general should be omnipotent and 2 that congress does not have the exclusive power to make laws, and 3 urgent action is required by the goverment, then divided government (something that the constitution most certainly allows for) becomes an excuse for the executive branch to do virtually whatever it pleases.

The observation that one should "never let a crisis go to waste" is incredibly cynical to those who think that is better to foresee a crisis and prevent it than to exploit one when it happens. Our government's fiscal situation is rapidly reaching a point of no return. The reason for this is not because we lack divided government. The reason is that advocates of big government who are in positions of power couldn't obey a law if they wrote it themselves. Until we depose those people, things will only get worse.

Democrats don’t care anymore they got it passed now they will try to destroy anyone that attempts to take benefits away from the American people. It is the Marxist progressive playbook. Add another huge unfunded liability onto the back of taxpayers... Oh and they will just claim that the rich should pay for it too? LOL, rich is such a subjective term, I am rich in the eyes of the homeless man but to Democrats rich means (TAXPAYER)....

“Disgusting, and we ought to call attention to Hussein’s attempt to re-write the law.”

Why bother? The 0bama machine is unstoppable. How much else that he has done has been a blatant violation of the law? But he keeps getting away with it, and he is going to keep getting away with it.

He has all the necessary components behind to ensure he escapes unscathed: 1) The media, They won’t report what he does is a violation, therefore the American people will never know and think he is doing good. 2) Academia. They shape the kids minds to love, honor, obey and follow their lord and savior, Barack Hussien Obama. 3) Big business. They keep him well funded so he can get his message out to the people so they will support him with all their heart.

I don’t care who the nominee is for the Republicans, it’s going to be a huge uphill battle to defeat this son of a bitch. It’s going to take a lot of hard work. I’m not promoting anyone, but I think Gingrich is the only one with the political smarts to have even the slightest chance against 0bama.

And even if we do defeat him, it will only be by the slightest of margins. We will still have to stay diligent because this POS will come back and try to recapture his throne in 2016.

Imagine sitting where you are right now, getting together with your friends and buddies, and then together writing rules all designed to give you and your friends ANYTHING.(many graduated from the same schools, and many you grew up with)

(Don’t attempt to DEFLECT this PARADIGM to the Puppet Spammer. He has the mind of middle-school, and knows if anything.)

These are BELTWAY life-ers. Inside sprawling DC govt. and Big-Beltway making at their own designings, 100-200K and more per year plus expenses, exempt health care for life, funneled pensions into the “market”, and making sure to hike salaries beyond the effects of the nation. Writing the rules and “laws” in the backrooms of Congress to their favor at the expense of “the outsiders”

“Few the People”

This is R.I.C.O.

What is most shocking is someone had to leak this.Who would TELL on Obama within his admin? And then someone had to decide to print it.The MSM going against Obama? Or getting the story of the year?Or both?

Purposeful leak to solidify his base and piss us off. As Rush would say, don’t doubt me on this.

Disgusting, he’s telling the IRS basically to pretend the law is what he would want it to be. “So sue us!”

Reason 45,231 to impeach Barack Obama.

If Obama Care isn't repealed, we will see a swift end to modern health care in America. A systemic collapse.

When this begins, I think we will see some states go their separate ways, and refuse to participate. The Feds will need to jail half the people in the USA, so courts will get very busy, and we will see these states halt all health care. Doctors will stop practicing.

As in most socialist states, you will need to bribe doctors if you really need care. So the states that participate will have an underground economy.

We should see most medical offices close. We will probably travel to India for Heart Surgery. Knees and Hips, maybe Brazil. So we will see unemployment go up as these jobs are lost.

This is what you get with a communist president raised in Indonesia, with final touches on a Communist Utopia Island, Hawaii. He's Fidel castro with a suit and tie, and a smile. The people who voted for him don't understand that killing Capitalism requires Killing America, but he does.

If the Supreme court allows this to continue, they will see immediate and negative results. An ungovernable mess.

This is something both parties should be screaming about. Do the democrats have one shred of dignity left? If the Congress doesn’t put him in check then we don’t need them. Let’s just proclaim him King and call it a day.

Wondering now if Obama wanted Khaddafi killed because the Jackson family wouldn't give him any dress up clothes. Seriously, Obama is really doing so many end arounds i'm wondering how much has been snuch through that we get just a little of his antics. The guy is definitely an America hater.
