Herman Cain has a critical summit meeting Friday with a house leader. His house.
Cain is decamping back to Georgia for a sit-down with wife Gloria over the subject of Ginger White, the Atlanta woman who claims she was Cain’s mistress for over a decade, and he said the two will discuss the future of his struggling presidential campaign.
Cain is slated to open his national campaign headquarters in Atlanta on Saturday and, at least as of now, is expected to go through with it. But the lease had better be month-to-month.
White, appearing on MSNBC Thursday night, apologized to Gloria Cain and Cain’s children. (Watch video below.)
"I am not a cold-hearted person. I am a mother of two kids. And of course my heart bleeds for this woman because I am a woman and being in a situation like this cannot be fun," she said. "And I am deeply, deeply sorry if I have caused any hurt to her and to his kids, to his family. That was not my intention. I never wanted to hurt anyone and I'm deeply sorry. I am very sorry.”

I listened to this woman on a morning radio show this week. In the 4-5 minutes I was tuned in, she said "I'm telling the truth, here" (or some variant) 3 times.
My experience? Honest people don't need to tell you repeatedly that they're being honest.

What rings the BS meter is the fake apology.
Think of it—even if Herman Cain had an affair with her, whenever, he helped her over a long period of time. If she didn’t have sex with him, he did it out of kindness—so far that’s the narrative we have from him.
So, she says the reason she went public was “to get ahead of the story”. What story? Oh, the one her “friend” went with to various media outlets about her and Cain.
Then she said, and this is the kicker, she was concerned about how he treated the other two accusers.
So, she threw Cain under the bus in favor of two bimbos she never met and who never gave her a dime or helped her in her entire life.All hail the Sisterhood!
And pray tell, what was she worried about—ruining her sterling reputation? You know, the bankruptcy, the stalking charge, the lost libel case, the unpaid bills?
This woman is a train wreck.
Too bad she is helping to take out Cain.
Where Cain went wrong was in not coming clean about this first, especially after surviving last week. Why he ever thought this would not come out in some way is the triumph of false hope over experience.

Clinton and Kennedy are DEMOCRATS. The Dems are more prone to overlook sexual indiscretions and hypocrisy.
Newt’s baggage has been known for over 10 years. He has owned up to it and (assuming there are no more sexual/marital/adulterous skeletons in his closet), people tend to say to themselves -— “Hey, you can’t continue to revisit what has been known for over a decade anymore”. Plus, Newt never presented himself as a religious, gospel singing, elder of a church, sort of fellow.
Plus, Newt OWNED UP to his infidelity and seems to have presented himself as a serious Catholic now. People tend to be forgiving of this sort of personal problem.
Also, Newt (rightly or wrongly) comes up as the most knowledgeable person in the campaign.
Herman’s problems on the other is more recent. We can overlook the harrasment accusations against him, but this most recent one is particularly troubling. Social conservatives see him as an upstanding religious, church goer who would never cheat on his wife. This, plus the fact that many are unsure and not confident about his ability to grasp the issues conforting America overseas (if you think Perry’s 50 second brain freeze was painful, you should see the way Cain handles the Libyan question), caused his campaign to implode.
Even if his supporters insist that He can surround himself with the best Foreign Policy team, many are not comfortable with his inexperience regarding this matter.
That’s just the reality we have to face.

Try and handle me like muslims handle women and you’ll be SORRY.
When this story broke, (true or not true), he should have been on the first flight back to be with his wife, there is no excuse for that delay. I feel really bad for his wife at this point.
He [admittedly] didn’t tell his wife he was giving this woman money. Why?
BTW: Being so emotionally tied to a politician (of all things) isn’t very good for your health.
