Romney: Islam Is a Peace-Loving Religion

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney says the Muslims he knows are "peace-loving and America-loving individuals."

At a campaign event in Cedar Rapids Friday, the subject of how to handle the threat posed by radical Islam was raised.

As reported in the Des Moines Register, Romney reminded the gathering he had grown up in the Detroit area which has a large Muslim community.

Perhaps like Gov. Perry, Gov. Romney only hangs out around Naziri Muslims who look to the Aga Khan as their imam.

Characterizing Islam in general as "peace-loving" can only be made into a true statement if one notes in the same utterance that Islam has a severely defective conception of peace -- that Islam only loves the peace between conqueror and conquered, between master and slave, that it does not understand negotiated peace between nations, nor have any conception of spiritual peace recognizable to Christians, Jews, Buddhists or Hindus as such.

Newt ate Mitt’s lunch at the debate. Mitt came off as a simpering twit, didn’t have one coherent thought or able to express himself clearly. He mumbled, he stumbled he shot himself in the foot. Several times.

You know I was thinking the same thing myself this morning. I have always like Newt, just not as viewed through the Presidential lens.

But, I think a lot of us, Americans, are tired of this patty-cake with the ME. Although executing 3 wars in less than a decade isn't patty-cake, but the ROE have been so skewed by trying to be PC back home...I'll take someone who is willing to call a spade a spade.

The thing is, now we have a good feel for how Newt thinks about the ME...the question is what is he going to do about it? Will it mean more war type actions? Will it me troop withdrawal and let them collapse upon themselves? Does it mean Newt will have the ability to get us off ME oil as a real security strategy?

Just how far down this line does Newt go? How much does he think like me about our strategic reasons for being in the ME?

Romney is clearly not even close. So...is Newt really so bad?

Its not so much the religion as it is the ones who control it and use it to justify their means.

Mmmm... no, not really. Islam has world domination built right into its foundation. I bought a Koran about 15 years ago and read it through. It's not like Christianity, which promises to rule in Heaven. It's not like Judaism, which is like a little club and if you get in, you have to follow the club rules. It is specifically built and intended for world rule. Rather like Communism.
