According to the latest Gallup tracking poll, more Americans approve of the job that President Obama is doing than disapprove for the first time since this summer.

The latest Gallup survey shows that 47 percent of Americans now say they approve of the way that President Obama is handling his job. This is a 5 percent improvement since the Dec. 16-18 Gallup survey and marks the first time the president's numbers have been in positive territory since July. The number of Americans who say they disapprove of Obama's job performance has fallen to 45 percent, down 5 points from Dec. 16-18.

4) THE ECONOMY STILL STINKS AND IS NOT IMPROVING. Do NOT fall for the media’s B.S. spin that things are getting better. Just ask the 14 million Americans who are still UNEMPLOYED... Or the additional 12 million folks who are UNDEREMPLOYED and involuntarily stuck working part-time jobs... Or how about the 46 MILLION Americans currently living on food stamps... And the still astronomically high gas prices, which are up 80% since Bush left office... Or the continued rise in home foreclosures... Or the $15 TRILLION in national debt, an increase of 43% since Bush left office... I could literally go on and on.

I don't care what the MSM is spewing about BO's "employment" numbers and apparently neither do my neighbors in my deep-blue neighborhood: these stats aren't enough to start peppering the naked bumper stickers on every car with BO '12 stickers. Too many storefronts remain empty. Too many people are slipping into uncertain housing situations. The public has more intelligence than that.

I think your numbers are way off. He’ll possible get 55 hispanic, 50 women. Youth not sure about, but 70 is certainly too high. He is going to lose million of voters this time around. Many who voted for him the first time, like young people, will not vote again.

But When Susie Bop and Amy P Somebody turns on CNN and sees Obama going to church in Hawaai; she just says Obama tried to pass a jobs bill but the pubs that only like rich people stopped him.Pelosi’s 10K a night hotel got a lot of air play but not on CNN and MSNBC.

Here is the info on the surging WP poll. Yes its fake:

Washington Post-ABC News Poll

This Washington Post-ABC News poll was conducted by telephone December 15-18 2011, among a random national sample of 1,005 adults, including landline and cell phone-only respondents. Results for the full sample have a 3.5 point error margin. Sampling, data collection and tabulation by Abt-SRBI of New York.

Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?

Approve: 49% Disapprove: 47%

Those numbers are now being used as evidence of Barack Obama’s once-again found approval among American voters just as 2012 and its accompanying election cycle begins in earnest. It is, according to numerous and subsequent media reports, the first time President Obama has had a higher approval vs disapproval rating since early last summer – and perhaps a trend that will propel him to re-election victory in November of 2012.

Obama Wants More Money NOW – Another Campaign Promise Broken »

But how to explain what is indeed a rather significant 5-point approval increase over polling data from just last month? Is it a reflection of Obama’s supposed “victory” over Republicans in the payroll tax reduction debate? Although many in the media are this very minute scrambling to posture just such an explanation – it is not likely. Why? Because this most recent Washington Post/ABC news poll, though just recently published, was actually taken BEFORE the final resolution to the payroll tax debate took place – December 15th – December 18th. The Obama “victory” over the Republicans did not happen for a number of days after the polling was actually conducted.

There is more to explain Barack Obama’s “Surge” in the polls though – and just as Insider warned, the cause is, while sadly predictable, no less insidious.

Here is the data regarding the political affiliation of those individuals who participated in the most recent Washington Post/ABC News poll:

Democrat 32%

Republican 25%

A seven-point advantage favoring Democrats – thus favoring support of President Barack Obama!

Now let us look back to the previous poll by Washington Post/ABC News published in November:

Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president?

Approve: 44% Disapprove: 53%

And here then is the political affiliation of those individuals who participated in the Washington Post/ABC News poll from November:

Democrat 29%

Republican 26%

AND THERE YOU HAVE IT – IN THE MOST RECENT POLL NOW BEING SITED AS PROOF OF AN OBAMA APPROVAL “SURGE”, THERE WAS A HIGHER PERCENTAGE OF DEMOCRATS AND A LOWER PERCENTAGE OF REPUBLICANS INVOLVED IN THAT POLL THAN THE ONE PUBLISHED LAST MONTH – A CLEAR CASE OF MANIPULATING THE OUTCOME. IN THIS CASE A 3-POINT SHIFT FROM THE PREVIOUS POLL THAT NOW OVERWHELMINGLY FAVORS DEMOCRAT PARTY AFFILIATION, REPRESENTING MORE THAN HALF OF THE 5-POINT OBAMA “SURGE” NOW BEING REPORTED BY VARIOUS MEDIA OUTLETS. AND SO GOES THE INCESTUOUS RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA AND THE OBAMA WHITE HOUSE. AND JUST AS INSIDER WARNED – THERE WILL BE MUCH MORE OF THIS TO COME IN 2012.

KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOLKS

I hope you’re right. May well be about youth vote — though I think our real hope there is that they just stay home. As to Hispanics, I think we’re looking at 60% to 70% without a doubt. Remember, while they are notoriously hard working, they come from cultures where government handouts are de riguer. And as to women, I’m afraid you’re being far too kind.

Many Americans, those who watch Diane Sawyer or Brian Williamns, truly believe in Obama and want him again. They also don’t want to admit that they are wrong.

It’s especially true when one considers how a huge portion of the retailers hiring is solely for the season, once the Christmas season is done, plenty of people will leave the workforce once again.

That is what I keep telling FR people - but they just won't listen. They just want to bitch and moan.

The Christmas season is an aberration EVERY year - from Thanksgiving [or even Halloween] through January 31st of the following year.

Temporary hires are made, which reduces the size of the unemployment rolls. Then, there are the people who have exhausted their UE benefits AND people who stop looking for work during the holidays. These people are NOT counted on the current UE rolls.

AFTER the holidays, the people who stopped looking for work generally start looking again. Also, the temporary hires are let go since the season is over. These people ADD to the UE rolls in January of the new year.

One last thing - companies that DID NOT make their financial projections during the year tend to JETTISON workers just after the holidays so that they can close the financial gap for their end-of-year annual reports. These laid-off people ALSO hit the UE rolls in January of the new year.

TAKE FOR EXAMPLE SEARS/KMART JUST TODAY ...

S/K announced that it is closing 100-120 stores. If ONLY 50 people worked at each store, you are talking about 5000-6000 people out of work and soon to be hitting the UE rolls. I worked for Sears once upon a time - and the average store has AT LEAST 200 employees. So, the number is LIKELY to be higher than that.

As I have said MANY times before - my sister works on Wall Street and she says that the financial industry TOTALLY discounts ALL financial data generated by the government during the Christmas season. They start taking the data SERIOUSLY AFTER January 31st of the following year.

So, folks - DON'T get yer panties in a wad at this time. CHILL until the end of January !!!

As Sidney Friedman said on M*A*S*H:

"Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice - pull down your pants and slide on the ice. ..."

I was searching for the internals and found something very wrong with the Politico report. Following their links takes you to Poll roundup: Obama up, Congress down

From that "Politico" link there is this:

President Obama's job approval rating has improved in the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll.

Following that link to Washington Post-ABC News Poll

There you find the internals to the poll. This is not a Gallop poll.

Could someone have admin add "Politico Lies" to the title.

Oh yeah. They underreported Republicans too. This was an Obama Campaign piece and not a serious poll.

America's Man on Horseback

I don't know who he be, but if we wait long enough, there'll be four of 'em comin' 'round the bend: the phony "emancipator" ruler, the more true-to-life war-loving ruler, the world-wide economic/food-shortage ruler, and lastly the Death and Hell ruler.

What we're seeing now is just a "glimpse."

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. OBAMA WILL BE A ONE-TERM PRESIDENT.”

And I’ve said many times that I think that barky will be re-elected. It has less to do about him and more to do with the ineptness of the gop, as well as the barely contained civil war that is currently going on within the gop.

Enough of the gop will ultimately coalesce around mittens to hand him the nomination, but it will ultimately be for naught when the predictable purge and/or disenfranchisement of the paleoconservative minority comes. The 3rd party challenge that results will cost the gop the election.

And barky won’t have to lift a finger to do it. He can just stand back and watch the gop implode.

This is “push polling” just as Rush predicted. The establishment is panicking right now because the economy has not turned around and Obama is not popular.

The established media will lie to us just like the Pravda to try to convince the people have not been paying attention that Obama is not a bad guy after all.

Don’t believe it and make sure you tell your friends not to believe it!

If this was a white President, no way in hell would they be re-elected, given the economy, etc. But wait and see. obama, with the media on his side, will be re-elected in a landslide. I just hope Republicans can hang onto the House.

Calling attention to the inaccuracy of polls and the underlying deceptive tactics of progressivism is the opposite of ignoring them.
