It looks like a good way for this cat to become a tasty snack.
But when the bold feline decided to take on an alligator in New Orleans, he came out remarkably intact.
He chose to take on the reptile at an wildlife park just as it was trying to eat some chicken, and began raining blows on its snout. ...
The cat may be the bravest or most stupid you've ever seen and a cynic may argue that the gator has been trained not to attack.
But who's ever heard of a trained alligator?

I couldn’t watch all of it. Stupid humans laughing in the background and encouraging the cat.
What would make you think a cat would interpret human laughter as encouragement? Any proof, anywhere? Please don’t project human emotions and feelings upon lesser creatures.
Bambi syndrome strikes again!
Many cats have had their common-sense defensiveness bred out of them. It’s how they get eaten by coyotes where I live...
No kidding. Sissy-voiced, dim-witted morons hoping to see some blood in their spare time.
But you have to watch it all the way through (turn down the sound of the idiots, if you must). You’ll be pleased.
I think kitty is lucky the gator had the chicken to eat. Nevertheless, cats are pretty darn quick and agile. I have my doubts the gator could have done anything more than scare the heck out of kitty even if he’d tried.
Our family cat likes to sleep on top of the television. Once she streatched and yawned causing her to fall off the television; and, we all roared with laughter. She then humped up an hissed at each of us in turn. She knew full well we were laughing at her.
Lesser creatures are more than some would like to think.
I watched all of it and was also shocked that no one jumped in to save the cat...and yes, they just sat back waiting for the cat to be killed. People can really suck.
I’m not a big “cat person,” but this is a stupid situation. This cat must be starving or some human dropped it into this situation. Either way, it is sad, not entertaining.
Thanks for posting those pics. I remember that story. A cat in NJ treed a black bear.
“But who’s ever heard of a trained alligator?”
Yeah, really! I think crocodilians rank somewhere below felines on trainability.

I’ve had cats knock down and break something. Quick as a flash they are on the other side of the room, casually grooming, and looking around, as if to say ‘how did that happen?’
Just try teaching an alligator to “Sit!”. There was a month wasted before I realized that an alligator’s knees don’t work the right way. And “Fetch!”.....forget about it. Self-centered, greedy critters.
Don’t mess with Kitteh.
Twice, actually. ;^)
