Official Drudge Report Boycott Thread

Due to bias shown by Matt Drudge I pledge to boycott the Drudge Report. Please pledge the same if you feel so inclined.

The man has GUTS. It’s OK to disagree with him —he would understand that. He would understand even if there were HUGE disagreements.

If he truly still had guts, he'd do the following:

1. Apologize for the blatant lack of balance where posting negative stories are concerned about GOP POTUS candidates (Almost no negative Romney articles this whole election cycle, especially any articles (And they are myriad) concerning his progressive liberal behavior as Governor).
2. Start fixing the problem

I'll give you a hint, you're not going to see him do it, because when it comes right down to it, he's a coward.

Great idea—boycott the only truly mainstream conservative site. Drudge is the New York Times of alternative media. You think he’s bashing Newt? No, he’s merely reflecting what most of the conservative media think. They don’t like Newt, and neither do I, and Drudge will remain my go-to site for news.

Yup. Its very sad to see this. The old saw, "When pointing a finger in accusation the accuser should realise that three fingers are pointing at himself", seems apropos.

I’ve been bombing the “SEND NEWS TIPS TO DRUDGE” box on his website for days. It has become so clearly anti-Newt I can’t take it. I need an alternative.

While I applaud the boycott, I must admit I’m kinda surprised that people boycott now for anti-Newt postings when few here even noticed my thread months ago about Drudge’s pointed inattention to the then-emerging Fast and Furious scandal - certainly the most heinous scandal in our nation’s history, and one with the most dangerous implications. Newt vs Romney, while important, pales by comparison, IMHO.

So you're okay with his complete and utter lack of balance and posting cut off interviews meant to distort and lie about Newt's record?

amen! DRUDGEREPORT has helped shape the news toward us
when all other sources work against us, for years now and through many battles. its hard to believe so many are ready
to dump all over matt drudge and even rush and mark levin.
i’ve been annoyed too by the coverage, but sheesh!!

maybe all the energy of those most riled up could be redirected by working some phone banks for newt or something

It’s two stories a week, on average. I don’t know how long he keeps them up, that’s probably determined by the number of clicks they get. But he’s done his fair share to keep the story going.

It’s not helping that our candidates are saying nothing about it.
