Due to bias shown by Matt Drudge I pledge to boycott the Drudge Report. Please pledge the same if you feel so inclined.
Self-boycottation
I checked —I’ve been freeping for 14 years, now, apparently.
What I’m seeing here is a little like what we used 2 see about 4 months or so after FR was first born:
There were these people who saw the growth, and maybe some small loss of intimacy, and they’d say, “OK, well screw this I AM LEAVING...!
They wouldn’t just leave, no, they’d announce it prominently. And folks would answer, “OK, great, don’t let the door hit ya on the way out...”
And THEN ya know what? They’d come back to say they were LEAVING AGAIN —these huge long swan songs. Gawd. There were MANY of them.
And THAT is what I’m reminded of, here.
And Rush pointed it out —”Conservatives are really fast to throw their own people overboard...the libs, they don’t do that, and we need to LEARN from them, in this little regard...”
And he’s RIGHT.
I know what they’re doing, and even if you love Newt, it is smart, what they’re doing.
And if you think about it hard, instead of just blasting from the hip, you’ll figure it out.
Drudge used to be my home page, now I won’t even click on his site ever again!

He posted a clearly propagandistic video clip of a cropped minute from a 20-year-old interview with Newt cut off virtually in mid-sentence to make it look like Newt said something he didn’t. When this had been sitting out there for that long without many hits and suddenly it shows up on Drudge at the same time these other anti-Reagan articles are linked, you know this was coordinated.

I forgot to say that I am a long time Drudge supporter from when he was in Southern California and hooking up with George Putnam. No more. I am boycotting
I am not at all surprised. Drudge’s leftist leaning bias is nothing new. Over the years it has be documented here on FR many times.
I cut him off 2 nights ago when his typewriter alert kept going off with new Newt bashing stories. I nixed his app.
I’ve been in full boycott mode for a couple of days now. I took Drudge, Powerline and Moonbattery off on my browser tool bar recently. Coulter was toast a while ago and several more are looking like candidates for removal.
Gee, did I hit a nerve? I am also from a military family and a former military person myself. I find most of what Drudge reports as nothing but an accumulation of the latest headlines and that is what I want first thing in the morning.
