Sarah Palin is urging Florida voters to vote for Newt Gingrich on Tuesday in their state's Republican primary.
"Vote for Newt," Palin told Jeanine Pirro, host of the Fox News weekend program "Justice with Jeanine."
Palin made a passionate plea for Republican voters to reject Mitt Romney in Florida to keep the primary process going forward.
The former Alaska governor made it crystal clear that she favors former House Speaker Gingrich, suggesting that the Republican establishment in New York and Washington is trying to anoint former Massachusetts Gov. Romney the GOP nominee.
"And I say, you know, youve got to rage against the machine at this point in order to defend our republic and save what is good and secure and prosperous about our nation, Palin said. We need somebody who is engaged in sudden and relentless reform and is not afraid to shake up the establishment. So, if for no other reason, rage against the machine, vote for Newt, annoy a liberal, vote Newt, keep this vetting process going, keep the debate going.
Here are key points Palin made on Fox:
"Ronald Reagan wasn't afraid to take on sitting members of his own party who were in office. He challenged a sitting Republican. He knew politics of personal destruction hurt the cause of conservatism. What we see today what happened there in Florida this past week it's gone beyond the pale, gone beyond aggressive and fair campaigning against an opponent."
Rick Santorum pointed out that Romney drew first blood, and at first, Newt Gingrich didn't respond he wanted to take the high road . . . [Newt] announced his intention to take the high road, but when you're continually hit and bombarded with negative rewritten history about yourself and your record, you have to hit back....

Gonna vote for Newt, anyway. Don’t need Palin’s encouragement, endorsement or anything else from her. I don’t know why people wait panting in angst and anguish for her to endorse him. Like she said - her endorsement doesn’t amount to a hill of beans.
Read between the above ;-)
That's what I thought. From what we know of her, should could have been out four-wheeling all day, and rushed in to appear on Fox. It's probably old-hat for her. And she doesn't have a hairdresser on staff.
“She cant while a contributor to FOX. None of them can endorse. “

thanks for the explanation!
Makes sense. But ooohh, is it frustrating.
Tell that to Coulter!
Is there any evidence that this is true? - or is it just speculation that has been repeated to the point that it’s accepted as fact?
Now were discussing Palin’s sub-standard hair style. Heaven help us.
Alot of people thought Scott Brown was something special too, but he turned out to a left-wing RINO.

“Saying vote for Newt on some obscure show on Fox isnt going to reach anyone but political hardcores.”
Amen to that........especially when she SAYS it almost in the same breath as her statement about how frugal Ron “EARMARKS” Paul is!
I think she looks po’d at the same things we all are.
The difference is she is a Eagle in the middle of the Foxes den and she is way outnumbered.
More often than not those that make such comments don’t look so great themselves.
It’s a reflexive defense mechanism, emboldened by internet anonymity, intended to assuage personal feelings of naughtness.
Her closing keynote speech at CPAC will be a must see.
That's BS. Stop making excuses for Sarah. She didn't hesistate to fly out here to Arizona to publicly kiss/endorse McCain's RINO ass. That's right--McCain who now publicly endorses Romney. The primary is Tuesday, what the hell is she waiting for? The only thing stopping Sarah from endorsing Newt is her cowardice. The nation is watching. Will Sarah fly to Florida and publicly endorse Newt with the same vigor, energy and gusto she did for McCain here in Arizona, or will she maintain her status as just another talking head on Fox?
BTTT!
