Early exit polling shows that Newt has a slim lead over Romney.

It’s not going to last. Newt will lose Florida. I am just hoping it is not an embarrassing blow-out. He looks to pick up delegates on Super Teusday.

Yup, ask AlGore and John "May I be the first to call you Mr President?" Kerry what they think of exit polling.

I'm not sure how this is going to come out. I'm thinking that it's going to be close. Looking at RCP, I doubt that Romney is going to get as high as 41%, Santorum will get as high as 13%, and Paul (remember this is a closed primary) as high as 10+%. Will the differences be enough to put Newt over the top, though? I dunno.

I gotta say, though, that...

1) after all of the money Romney has spent,

2) after all of the nasty ads by Romney,

3) after a mediocre performance by Newt in the debates (he merely did OK, hitting singles instead of Grand Slams),

4) With all of the media pulling for Romney

5) And after every single poll projects a blowout for Romney

....Anything beyond a huge (15+%) win for Romney is an effective loss. He shot his bolt to get FL, but there's still 46 (53? lol! ) states left.

Could well be a squeaker for Newt given the large body of undecideds. I don’t see any other candidate, blemishes or no, that has shown close to as much gumption in endeavoring to root out the Obama rot. Mitt seems to be the ever-cautious one. I hope the undecideds agree. Looks like we are on the brink of Contract With America II, but this time without having to triangulate around Rats. We could do far, far worse.

Any news of Newt up in the polls and all of a sudden, we’ll see a gaggle of black suburbans hurtling down I-95 with a bunch of boxes FULL of newfound early votes!

....all for Mitt, of course.

no idea about the exit polls, but from my unscientific poll conducted by standing at a polling place in Brevard county waving a NEWT! sign, about 2/3 of the cars pulling in gave me a thumbs up (yeah, I was the only one there .. starting at 6 am, omg!). That looks good, except there were not huge lines of voters, so... One of my former students sent me an email with the phrase, "Impossibility is an Illusion" Keep that thought when you listen to MSM telling us it is over for conservatives.

It takes years of study and careful planning to have minions. That and frequent pool parties that begin with a power point presentation on conservobabes vs liberal harpies. And daquiris....lots of daquiris.

Hmmm, I’ll try the daquiris first ...and then go from there.

Not familiar with the demographics of the Florida electorate. Is Brevard county conservative?

Are you absolutely certain that Romney is a natural born citizen?

Are you sure Romney isn't actually Al Gore?

Ever notice how, when Romney's "up" and excited and getting people all worked up about ManBearPig, he looks, moves, acts, and sounds just like the Gorebot?

Come to think of it, has anyone ever seen Mittens and the Gorebot in the same room at the same time?

It’s the Space Coast. part unemployed space industry workers, part NE retirees, and a smattering of natives.

Nice, that means that my husband and myself have minions.
We do the same, but have our own special pool drink.

I thought I did once.

But it was an antique store with two cigar store wooden Indians.
