Freepers, Newt Supporters: 46 States to go (Mitt's Gotta Face the South Again Soon)
Freeper TitansAFC | 1-31-2012 | TitansAFC

Posted on 01/31/2012 8:05:07 PM PST by TitansAFC

Four down, forty-six to go!

First, I would like to Congratulate Mitt Romney! No, really! Between he and his Super PAC, Team Romney dumped over 25 million dollars into Florida since the beginning of the campaign which, along with the diabolical coordination with formerly credible GOP media personalities in a massive Establishment smear campaign, resulted in Mitt Romney getting less than 200,000 votes more than he got four years ago!

The result was a plurality win in a four-person primary where only two candidates even attempted to win the state. At least as impressive a performance as winning a basketball game against a team that only fielded four players!

But he'd better get busy again! At his current return of about one delegate per $500,000 in combined spending, he's going to need nearly $600,000,000 to buy the necessary support to be the GOP nominee in August!

On a bright note, my Freeper Friends, it gets better from here. You see, Mitt was expected to take places like NH and FL, places where it is hard to fight an Establishment favorite. But his troubles are only beginning: as seen in the polls posted in the last few days, he trails miserably in the South - states with disproportionately large numbers of delegates with many winner-takes-all Primaries. He is also second or third in most polls of key midwestern states, like Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota. To top that off, he is at BEST in a statistical tie with Newt in national polls, despite his massive money advantage!

Georgia alone has nearly 80 delegates, a lot more than Florida, and Newt will clean house there. Don't even get me started on the sweetest plum, Texas, where Newt is a favorite and our friend Captain Perry is circling the wagons for Gingrich! Texas has 155 delegates, NC 55 delegates, Ohio 66 delegates, Alaska 50 delegates, and they are all Newt country right now!!

http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012-republican-primary-schedule/

As you see above, the longer the campaign, the more it favors Newt Gingrich! Mitt may win some states here early, but he is breaking the bank to do so. And if he's struggling this hard to win states he should win easily, image what it's going to be like for him when he faces more South Carolina type places in the future!

To arms! To arms! Keep up the good fight, keep fighting! We WILL win this thing in the end because the state delegate count favors us GREATLY as the campaign goes on! Mitt can't win in the South, he struggles mightily in the midwest, and he won't win in the corn belt.

The fight has only just begun! Mitt has broken the bank, and has only a small lead to show for it in delegates. We are in good position, and we will prevail in August and then November!!!!!!!

I forgot to include TX with 155 and OK with 43 for Newt. This brings the total up to 631 of 1144 or 55% of the needed delegates to win.

Thanks Titans. Was getting pretty discouraged there. It is going to be tough with Newt getting smeared from all sides, but you are giving me some hope. I’m haven’t been totally rah-rah Newt and wasn’t particularly anti-Romney even though I didn’t want him to get the top spot, but he has completely turned me off with his smear apparatus. He is a cocky a$$#*0@. Pre Tea Party I could hold my nose and vote for McCain. I don’t know that I can do it any more. This has made me want to tune all this out.

There is a misnomer going on with “Capitalism” in the New GOP.

Long gone are the days of Adam Smith. Today’s GOP, especially in the Northeast, is not “Conservative” in their Capitalism - they are Libertarian Fiscal Darwinists. They want ANYTHING goes, and no recourse for the consumer.

Do NOT confuse Capitalism as espoused by good Conservatives like Adam Smith with what the GOP Establishment and the Chamber tell you is “Capitalism” today. To them, the old woman who gets conned out of her life savings should be S.O.L. because “she should have known better.” And hey, if we can Privatize the Supreme Court, why should anyone oppose it?

Space program? Trash it! Infrastructure? Sell the rights to the Chinese if they are the highest bidder! Remember bankruptcy reform? Anyone notice it only applied to citizens and not corporations?

This is not what the fathers of Capitalism ever had in mind. They were Free Market, small government visionaries - but even a base knowledge of Smith’s writings would show you a very different vision than the self-proclaimed champions of modern Capitalism.

And you apparently don’t know what lobbying is.

But as long as we’re accusing candidates of doing things they didn’t do, why didn’t Mitt’s affair with an underaged male staffer turn you off to him?

Newt Gingrich loses Florida — and reminds us why

Check out this twit's take about the speech. Wonder who she supports? I think this is the same woman that goes onto Hewitt's Romney propaganda radio show and spouts her crap. Horrible people. Hewitt used to always irk me about some things, but I would listen for his guest interviews. I can't even go to his program any more. I'm completely done with him, Medved, and Coulter. All smug, know it all a$$4@)#%!

so, is rush, where I mainly heard all that ranting, and Mark Levin, where do they fall in all these lines? I mean Rush was absolutely livid...

And when you say the new GOP, is that the new anti-establishment GOP ala sarah, etc., or is it the moderate GOP of today, and the GOP used to be much more conservative...

Are there really so many fools in this country that an ‘ad’ would make them vote for someone?-—I knew what Romney and Obama were from the first moment they ran for office-—just look at their backgrounds and who and what they shilled for before they ran for President-—that should tell a sane person all they need to know-—then again, I am almost 90 and seen garbage come and go for years

Thanks for this little speech so much. Next to Newt’s speech tonight, this was the single most encouraging thing I have read... I worked so hard for Newt in Florida, but I can honestly say, I don’t feel bad tonight. I don’t feel excellent but I don’t feel bad either. I had a bunch of newters over to watch the returns, and was worried I would start crying... but Newt was really noble and inspiring tonight...

Show the difference between Mitt and Obama. And then show what is your attraction to a lying/deceiving candidate. And then tell us what mitt has done FOR America and what part of his being pro gay appeals to you.

Actually I was a lobbyist once. And yes, Newt lobbied. I have not said I reject Newt for his affairs so please keep your red hairings to yourself.

What makes you say ROmney is anti christian?

Romneys factual record clearly illustrates that he is pro-abortion. That is very anti-Christian.

Mitt is an absolute fraud. He is a power-lusting Statist pretending to be a Conservative.

If Mitt had an honest bone in his body he would run as a RAT.
