'The Mahdi does not negotiate. Neither should we'

Several years ago, prior to my retirement from the CIA, I was meeting with a senior Iranian asset in the Middle East. I had finished debriefing him on the intelligence he had to provide, and we had launched into a more expansive conversation about the overall direction of American policy toward Iran. I was trying to explain the rationale behind our sanctions regime and the thought process that had led us to conclude that we could persuade the Islamic Republic of Iran to modify its behavior.

The asset interrupted me. "You really don't have any idea who you are dealing with, do you?" he asked. I told him I was not sure I understood what he meant.

The source elaborated. We were under the illusion we were dealing with rational actors. We were not. We were under the illusion we were playing a game, which would stretch out over many years. Our adversaries in Iran shared no such belief. They expected this conflict to reach its climax in the very near future.

They also knew, to a moral certainty, that they would win.

Iran is an overwhelmingly Islamic nation, and almost all Iranians belong to the Twelver sect of the Shia branch of Islam. This sect awaits the return of the 12th Imam, or Mahdi, a direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammed anointed by Allah himself. According to the Twelvers, the Mahdi has been in hiding in caves since the 9th century.

The Mahdi has been hidden for 1,200 years now, but he will return just before the Day of Judgment. According to the Hadith, his return will be preceded by three years of chaos, violence and cataclysmic events. He will rule over the world for a period of seven years, eliminate all tyranny and oppression,

And he still is haha.

Don’t remember the sweater chat, but I can still see those long lines and “No Gasoline” signs, blind-folded Americans, and Soviet tanks and gunships....Reagan was my first political “hero”. Most of my family were (and some still are) Dems, said he was going to start WW3 LOL

Very interesting info about radical Islamist Iranian mindset and beliefs. What do you think about this article, FARS?

FARS posted a link to the Anti-Mullah site yesterday with a little info about Malihi, I think it was yesterday - (time flies when you’re having...fun...) but I have no idea which thread at this point and don’t have time to find it. So, pinging FARS - maybe he can help!

Methinks there’s not a single original thought in that idiotic book of theirs, the entire ‘religion’ of mohammadanism is plagiarized from the Original Testament and the New Testament...but the ‘prophet’ was illiterate and by the time it was all gathered up and written down several hundred years later, it bore little resemblance to the original material.

The ‘madhi’ is the ‘messiah’ plagiarized from the Hebrew.

And seeing that Jospeh Smith plagiarized both the Bible and mohammadanism to create the ‘church’ of LDS - I expect they also have a mahdi counterpart? (MUST CHECK)

warnings that Israel’s jets have just taken off. It will be very messy over there.

They will be a little late, as the Russians at their naval base in Tantros, Syria will have fed that info the moment Israel’s jets lift above the runway or even before, if one of their sats pass over, complete with all radar data and flight tracks - assuming the S-300/400 systems in place at the base haven’t already ‘solved’ the problem.

“We're going to find out, sooner or later, if Abdul will pray, to a glowing crater.”

Back just after 9/11 there was an article which interviewed some ME hardcore Islamists. They were asked what if Mecca were nuked and the Rock destroyed, would they still hold the faith?

They answered that allah is the supreme and only god, but if the rock were destroyed, then allah was not the supreme god, and so would not be followed any longer.

Most said they would convert to Christianity, some to Judaism, others to atheists.

Could this Mahdi be the Anti-Christ?

If you read the koran, and the other books (the sunnahs and hadiths) you will see that, as the antichrist is the direct opposite of christ, so islam is to christainity.

Would they start praying, “Our god USED to be greatest” and carry on with “The Three Pillars of Islam?

Nope. I can’t see it.

Neither can they, however, allah gave the the great bush and the nobama so our hand was stayed.

I wonder sometimes if they are clueless? or just blinded by their addiction to State governed diplomacy? If beguiled by their trust in Government diplomacy they have slim excuse—if clueless there is no excuse.

I’m sure Israel has more than 4 nukes. So, let’s say that Mecca, Medina, Q’om and Samarra turn into smoking craters.

Where does that leave Islam, and the followers of Islam?

“Our god USED to be the greatest?” Would they carry on as before, with “The Three Pillars of Islam,” without the 5X daily prayer and the haj?

Nope. They would not. Islam would be over, just as the Inca religion was vanquished when their “living god” was shown to be mortal and weaker than the Spanish and their God.

I agree with that, but additionally, I believe many would go berserk and kill themselves, their families, or anybody else handy.

I could just barely force myself to read what was written at the link you provided, though I must say thanks...it’s just another example of how mormonism is based upon what Joseph Smith plagiarized from mohammadanism...his so called ‘prophesies’ being discussed are nothing but a mirror-image of how the mohammadans constructed the thousands of hadith.

“Nuclear shock treatment” did not stop the Japanese. It was Hirohito's recorded divine voice, ordering them to surrender in his name.

Even that wasn't comletely effective.

The surrender announcement had been recorded, and was scheduled to be broadcast to the nation the next day.

There was, however, a faction within the army that didn't want to surrender; they attempted a coup to find and destroy the recording.

Fortuitously, there was a formation of B-29s heading north on another bombing mission, and the Japanese did a blackout in response. The blackout kept the coup members from finding the recording, and it was broadcast the next day.

Saving the lives of tens of millions of Japanese.
