Tuesday, we published this story about a bizarre attack launched against Governor Sarah Palin at, of all places, Glenn Beck’s site The Blaze. It was an attack made up of whole cloth, the kind of thing we’re used to seeing from the mainstream media and leftists, not from those who claim to be on our side. Palin’s not above criticism, but when Newsweek asks her to write about life with her son Trig, a Down Syndrome child, and she writes about life with her son Trig — what’s the problem?

I agree with you. It was just a kind of human interest story about Palin and son. And if it shows up in a Liberal rag, so much the better.
I haven’t heard word one from or about Beck since he left TV. even his frat-boy (the few minutes I could stand) show was just a long tease for his vlog...

Sarah Palin was Beck’s first guest when his show aired on Fox News. Remember when he asked her about how it must be hard for her to trust people and she said she only trusts her husband and her family..Thanks Glenn for proving once again why she can’t trust people. Glenn is just another person who has used her for ratings, then stabs her in the back. Beck has a special needs child, for him to stoop to this level is downright despicable
Dissembling. Memory-holing. Rationalizing. Lies of omission. Scrubbing. Double-talk. Calling a woman a “whore.” If Glenn Beck was at all interested in “restoring honor,” he would start with a full retraction and end with a full apology.

I don’t know anything about his new TV or intrenet or pay TV or whatever it is I don’t listen to his radio show for free and I’m certainly not going to pay to hear him. I thought he had a problem when he staged his event in DC basically to conflict with the Tea Party second event in DC. My opinion is that he has an ego problem and didn’t think he got the credit he deserved for the 912 March On DC. My opinion is that he’s gone nuts, I have someone repeating Beck and telling me I’m part of a mob and only like Newt because he attacks the media. Beck has some kind of complex that he is or should be all powerful, in my opinion. I think he’s nuts.
My only regret in not subscribing to GBTV is that I can’t have the satisfaction of cancelling.
I remember Beck always saying Sarah was “guarded” and I thought that was an odd word to use for her over and over. I thought “SO WHAT?” Then he said if the tea party is voting for Newt it has to be racism. That really was a red flag for me. After that he set out to literally destroy Gingrich every day and that was over the top vicious. Now this article about the attack on Sarah.

Notice Beck is always putting himself forward? He has his arm around Palin, not vice versa....he was the one who bragged about them being close friends who text in the middle of the night. (Really?) But now she supports Newt, and she’s served her purpose, and Beck’s monstrous ego can’t bear it.
I used to really like Beck. But he has become a shameful disgrace. He’s turning back into the nasty, mean egomaniac he says he used to be when he was a drunk.
Beck lost me when he ambushed the Tea-Party challenger for Rick Perry in 2010. Debra Medina was a true-blue patriot who deserved an honest shot at Perry, and Beck cut her off at the knees by alluding that she was a truther because she did not IMMEDIATELY fire anyone who worked for her who MAY have believed that 9/11 was an inside job. Beck, the ultimate doomsday barker, is the pot calling the kettle black every single day of the week. Beck can join Chris Christie (see below).
It is such a disgrace on Glenn’s part. It has been very difficult to watch him teaing Newt apart. I even heard him to say if his guy goes down, (laughter) I know tricks. I just wonder if he blames Sarah for Romney not being able to pull off the great heist of the republican presidential primary due to her constant remarks by advocating for the contest to continue. The ruling class all thought this process for Mitt would be over by Florida. For months. they told us Romney would be the republican nominee. I think he is so angry and now promised to keep his word to hurt Newt since Sarah has shown support for Newt. Glenn has really lost his focus and credibility with his attack on the Tea Party as well. It is very sad to see this going on because Sarah was very good to Glenn by being a loyal friend. I think he wants Romney to win so badly, now all cards are off of the table. If Sarah helps Newt again, he might come right out and attack her himself. I even noticed Sean Hannity was a little short with Palin awhile back though not as bad as Megan Kelly was to Sarah. Makes me think, it’s her support of Newt, not Romney. I hope Newt is our nominee. I trust Sarah when she spoke highly of Newt getting things done.

All true, and it is similiar to the weirdness that has happened to Coulter as well. In the words of Patrick Henry, "I smell a rat." It is certainly not outside the bounds of reality that these people have been threatened by the Left. But for them to carry on with their careers by then attacking what they know to be the truth is not defensible. If the threat was that bad, Coulter and Beck should have retired, rather than aid the enemy. Both of them are financially set - to continue into darkness merely for more money and fame is not something that can be blamed even on threats, but only personal greed. And that really is a tragedy.
