A top official with the National Rifle Association said Friday that President Obama will move to "destroy" gun rights and "erase" the Second Amendment if he is re-elected in November.
While delivering one of the liveliest and best-received speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre said the president's low-key approach to gun rights during his first term was "a "conspiracy to ensure re-election by lulling gun owners to sleep."
"All that first term, lip service to gun owners is just part of a massive Obama conspiracy to deceive voters and hide his true intentions to destroy the Second Amendment during his second term," he said.
"We see the president's strategy crystal clear: Get re-elected and, with no more elections to worry about, get busy dismantling and destroying our firearms' freedom, erase the Second Amendment from the Bill of Rights and excise it from the U.S. Constitution."
Mr. LaPierre said the president's two Supreme Court appointees — Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan— are "two of the most rabid anti-gun justices in history." He also accused Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of being a foe of gun rights.
And with the possibility of two or more Supreme Court justice positions opening during the next four years, the NRA official warned that gun ownership would be in jeopardy if Mr. Obama stays in office.
"If we get one more like those three, the Second Amendment is finished," he said. "It'll be the end of our freedom forever."

There will be perfumed princes shot and there will be some go along to get along and when it is finished 90% plus of the military will view themselves as a part of “we the people”. That opinion comes from twenty years active duty and many shoot the chit conversations, more than a few where of the “what would you do if” variety. Most of us, active duty, prior service, or retired, are cognizant of the first directive in our oath, to protect and defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. AND THAT OATH DOES NOT EXPIRE!

That is a true tragedy. All my weapons are clean, loaded and ready to hand. That way I don’t have to ask any thugs to wait while I dig them up and load.

If groups of us stood up on national television and told him "MOLWN LABE, motherf$(*er!," there would be FBI and ATF on our front lawns quicker than we could load a 30 rd. mag.
Unfortunately the pro-America stance is going to be an underground movement if this Kenyan moron is elected again. Any overt displays of "Constitutional Rights" will be met with extreme legal prejudice.
My only hope, as a Floridian, is that my governor and the governors of other proper-thinking states will stand up to the Federal goons and say, "Nope, not in my state. Any state or local law enforcement officials who abide by this Federal mandate will be immediately fired and imprisoned. We are a pro-gun state!"
If it comes to punches and governors call up militias, you can bet your ass that the limp-wristed assholes in the Northeast will fold like lawn chairs when a bunch of bedraggled southern and mid-western militiamen come rolling down Broadway with a panoply of antique and modern weaponry.

Until this attack on religious freedom I would have agreed with you; I think they are focusing on the “second term” because at that point while it may be a losing issue politically (by the Dems’ own admission) he won’t be available for retaliation at the ballot box (and other Dem candidates will simply try to distance themselves from the issue).
Americans are stupid enough that if you show enough “cash-for-kids” children killed by stray fire in ghettos people will vote against guns to pretend they care about black people (it’s a lot easier than actually doing something).
You are so right. If anybody had guts we could stop the tyranny simply by withholding our tax money. No call to shoot anybody, they would crap themselves inside-out if the money stopped flowing their way.

Understood, but we’ll know you by your arms and mentality. The Liberals in the NE and out West are going to cower behind their law enforcers and national guardsmen only to find that they’re not going to die for that cause.
The Founders recognized that the Second Amendment was necessary to keep the government from going overboard. While most of us would say that happened a long while back, trying to usurp the right of self defense from the People will likely mean the Feds draw back a bloodied stump.

I know there will be some citizen opposition. But I’m wondering where is the political opposition? The only thing I can come up with is that the GOP (in private) thinks just like the democrats. Maybe once a congressman is re-elected for a second term he’s handed millions and offered membership in the Bilderberger Society.

Obama is mandating ‘free’ birth control under Obamacare.
I stole this idea from John Hinderaker from powerlineblog. He pointed out ‘birth control’ is not in the Constitution but the right ‘to bear arms’ is in the 1st Amendment.
At first glance I like this idea, but then the thugs would be jumping a chance to get some more freebies.

Sadly, yes. When Obama and banks have destroyed the economy so that there is little chance these soldiers can find a job outside of the military, and the families depend on the military paycheck to survive, you can count on people doing some pretty vile things to keep their families fed. The military is just people—young people with children. Do you really think that we are any better than 1930’s Germans who had to make the same hard choices between going along with the crowd and fighting an unstoppable juggernaut?
Why do you think Obama is trying so hard to get Christianity out of the military? The Nazis created the statist “German Church” out of the Lutheran church to contain the power of relgion and redirect it for the uses of the State. Once Obama convinces the military that “Gott Mit Uns”, then he can get them to whatever he wants and they will BELIEVE.

A new supply of ‘free’ guns each & every month as long as the trigger finger twitches sounds like a good Constitutional right for a ‘living’ Constitution. Maybe, it could be paid for> out of Obama’s stash.
Our greatest hope is the movement that is growing among Sheriffs. There was a great post in here about Sheriffs standing up to feds, and doing so legally with Constitutional protection.
FBI and ATF get met at the airport by a Sheriff’s SWAT. It could happen.
There are many among the LE/FBI/ATF who would come at us. Some officers in the armed forces too. But I think most in the services will not do it. Even Syrian and Libyan forces refused to attack citizens, The Iranians couldn’t even trust their elite forces to do it, they had to drum up the “militia” to do it. Can you picture those Iranian “militias” trying some of their shit in Texas (LOLOLOL).

In those places they used a couple of Serious crisis to first get the government involved in the purchase of every firearm.
Then, with the next Serious Crisis they got people to Register their guns.
{While promising up and down that it wouldn’t lead to CONFISCATION}
And then after all of that was done, THEN with the next Serious crisis they CONFISCATED those Registered guns.
And oppressive government needs all of those steps to disarm the law-abiding – how does POS Obama think he can do it in one?
Obama won't have to. He'll do it through his Moonbat appointments to the SCOTUS.
