There is a bit of triangulation needed to come up with the dates of the split between human ancestors and gorillas and chimps—and it is inexact—but for the gorilla split, it probably should be written 10 million +/- 1.5 million years.

Dennis Prager had a great comment. He said the Bible teaches about divisions between Man and God, Male and Female, Human and Animal, Good and Evil, and the Holy and the Profane.

He said liberals are always trying to blur these distinctions.
