WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama's job approval rating, weighed down by soaring gas prices, has plunged below 50 per cent, giving his political opponents what appears to be an opening in the November election, a new opinion poll showed.
The survey by ABC News and The Washington Post indicated that only 46 per cent of Americans now approved of the way Obama is handling his job and 50 per cent disapproved.
The situation was a reversal from early February when 50 per cent approved of the president's performance and 46 per cent disapproved.
According to the survey, the drop was attributed to soaring gas prices threatening to crimp America's slow recovery from a recession.

Obama and his sychophants in the media will argue that domestic production has never been higher, and this is true. However, drilling on PUBLIC land has decreased eleven percent under Obama. It’s drilling on PRIVATE land that has increased, and he can take NO credit for that. In fact, clearly his preference would be for THAT number to decrease as well.
Nobody beleived me as I said I was willing to pay more if Obama would be one termer.

Funny you say that, my father in law is a Michael Moore type lib. He was crying about gas prices and i said I hope it keeps going higher until Nov. He starting yelling that its not mr obamas fault and I laughed and said dont tell me tell the American public who shortly will be blaming him

That was my reaction until I looked at the numbers, which are within the normal fluctuation range for him. Nevertheless, $5 gas prices will be the last straw. I could see him releasing the strategic oil reserve in October.
One cannot dismiss the voter fraud that will occur in November. Here is PA we will probably be getting a voter ID law into place in the next few weeks. However, the RATS and the ACLU have already announced plans to fight the issue in the PA Courts. As such, there will probably be a restraining order placed against enforcement of voter ID in PA during the November elections. Pittsburgh and Philly are loaded with RATS — many of those voters are deceased and many of them have no ID. If the law is not in place and used here in PA in the fall, PA could undoubted go to Obama via dead and unidentified RAT voters.

Here is something I would like to see go “NATIONAL”
Purchase a book of “Post-it Note Pads” Place the note pads in your vehicle(s) along with a “Magic Marker”. When stopping at the pump for gas, take a “Post-it” note and write the following “How is that Hope and Change Working Out for You? After pumping your gas, place the “Post-it” Note on the pump, immediately below the “price-per-gallon”. Next driver to use the pump will get the message. If this goes Nationwide, think of the potential impact it may have on white, (we will never get the black vote) moderate, voters.
Yep, spread the word.
With post-its, you couldn’t be in trouble for vandalism.
But, look for it to become a federal offense, by executive order, to “deface” a gas pump.
This poll is way understated, it's just Americans, not registered voters and even the great unwashed won't give the bamster more than 46% approval.
It's only March so polls don't really matter but if the gas prices stay this high or higher, obama will be beaten by my neighbors dog.
