WASHINGTON - US President Barack Obama's job approval rating, weighed down by soaring gas prices, has plunged below 50 per cent, giving his political opponents what appears to be an opening in the November election, a new opinion poll showed.
The survey by ABC News and The Washington Post indicated that only 46 per cent of Americans now approved of the way Obama is handling his job and 50 per cent disapproved.
The situation was a reversal from early February when 50 per cent approved of the president's performance and 46 per cent disapproved.
According to the survey, the drop was attributed to soaring gas prices threatening to crimp America's slow recovery from a recession.

Like someone else said, it shows how retarded most of AMerica is when they ignore the economic destruction and assault on individual liberty but get all bent out of shape about gas prices.
The high gas prices are avoidable and outrageous, but the pale in comparison to 0bama’s other sins.

Truck stops are great places for stickies, as is the grocery store.

I couldn’t believe seeing these two guys pull into the gas station and have those stickers on the pick up, and then seeing the shirt just got me that I felt I had to say something.
I stood right in front of him, I said it loud enough for the guy behind me to hear so I know he heard me but he wouldn’t even look at me even though he had his pal there with him.
Just how dumb are these people.
They looked to be complete idiots in the first place so maybe they support him for their handouts.
Saying that the truck was a piece of crap polluting the air, it was a truck after all not a golf cart.
Neither have had a wash in days or brushed their hair.
Now they could afford their sandwich, case of beers and two loose one for which I bet are for the drive home, DUI
Also funny when another guy confronts these people they don’t start back but are quick to mouth off to ladies or the elderly or if they’re outnumbering the person by at least 10.
Anyway seeing him walk out and rive away with his head down was priceless

But I always think of these things after the fact but I’ll know next time

If you honestly believe that, how does the price of oil ever go down? Because OPEC feels sorry for us now and then?

I'll bet you're right. The MSM is carrying this story about gas prices - and they're carrying it 'big time'. The Democrat-Media Complex doesn't carry stories that help conservatives. AND they get their 'tips' from Democrats. Together it means lower gas prices before the election with OBAMA being the hero.

Yet today's Gallup has Obama's job approval at +6 (49% vs. 43%). Friggin' amazing.
Yeah i do it at the local wallyworld. especially in the meat dept and the organic food dept. The meat dept is the fav of the EBT Eric Holder’s people Obamanoids (gee foodstamps don’t go as far as they used to) and the organtic food dept. is a fav of the birkenstock wearing granola “give peace a chance” Obamanoids. (and I live in upstate NY, dangerously close to the People’s Republic of Ithaca)

That's the problem with huge numbers of Americans. They have no understanding as to why the gas prices are high, they have no grasp of the deep and lasting damage this administration is putting on the country on not only the energy, but a whole host of fronts.
They just slap their bumper stickers on and blissfully go about their lives of dependency, waiting for the feds to refresh their government-supplied debit cards with their monthly allotment and send their 79th week of "unemployment" checks. Meanwhile, they contribute nothing and pay nothing into the system and leisurely enjoy the fruits of the makers and producers.
Increasing numbers of "Americans" are quite fine with overarching government control, so long as they get taxpayer-paid freebies in the process.
At the local school I saw a teacher who had an old Surburban SUV, on the back was an obama sticker and a go green sticker.
That in itself shows how dumb many of the obama voters are.
The best ones though are the Dems which live in their all white fancy gated communities, drive a hybrid with a sticker saying vote blue go green but their house for her and the husband is about 5,000SQ FT.
Guess using all that electric for that big house makes up for the hybrid in their eyes.
I have another idea. I ordered my free Obama 2012 bumper sticker. The way I figure that is one less sticker they can display. Spread the word. Lets waste all the stickers.
I am following the blog about the dumb ass who bought a $100K Karma and is having problems with it. What a dum dum. A Porshe 911 Turbo is cheaper and a new battery is a few hundred or so.
But, what those numbers don't tell you is the 'RATS and half the "independent thinkers" believe the solution is that he should nationalize the oil companies. They sure as hell aren't going to vote for any Republican over the Kenyan Marxist in November.
