It was a set up.

From start to finish.

A quite specific, quite detailed plot to get Rush Limbaugh, ruin his career, and drive him off the air.

Next targets? Sean Hannity and former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Lots to cover here.

Let's start with Mr. Angelo Carusone.

Who is Angelo Carusone? Today he is now the "Director of Online Strategy for Media Matters for America."

But a few years back? He was just your basic left-wing law student with a standard left-wing passion. That passion? Totalitarian-style censorship.

Dittos! By Friday I was yelling at the radio: “Okay, we get your point! Knock it off!”

It was such a weird incident. Rush kept harping and harping on this woman’s testimony, until it became not funny and actually a little boring. It was so unlike him.

Oh please.... This Sandra Fluke is a slut trying to graduate to prostitution with the taxpayers being the johns.

The only mistake Rush made was to apologize. Maybe he was too gentlemanly to stand by his truthful words.

Implicit in the right to free speech is the right to hear speech that we choose to hear. In the marketplace, the people have declared their desire to hear Rush Limbaugh’s speech.

Media Matters thus becomes the agent of the attempt to stifle free speech. Aren’t there laws against interfering with contractual relationships?

I am still puzzled by Rush’s behavior in this whole incident. It was as if he wanted to give the left a weapon.

When he pulled this stunt, all of the talk about it gave so many pundits an excuse to ignore the press conference of the Cold Case Posse.

What was he trying to accomplish?

after the first day even I wondered what was wrong with him to keep dwelling on Fluke-

She is a preppie grad student at an elite university, dating the son of a wealthy lib, traveling to all the great capitals of Europe, who still maintained that she could not afford nine bucks a month for The Pill, and hence we all should be compelled to pay for it for her.

If Rush's program is not about absurdities like THAT then I don't know what is.

Oh I have found what has been going on in "our" government quite chilling now for quite some time. Hence, my tagline - the part "America ... Where are you now?" It is the refrain from an Anti-Vietnam song by StephenWolf from back in the 60's. It strange how the lyrics can also apply for those of us on the right. The sad part, from my perspective, is that I hold little if any hope we can get back our Constitutional Republic.
