Canadians, I think, are amongst the most informed of citizens, much of it due to the fact, because we sleep next to an elephant and every movement it makes, we know about. The benefits of being a hound that sleeps next to the biggest, baddest dog in the world.

Well...I MIGHT agree with you, except we have Canadian “friends” who moved here 30 years ago, raised their kids here....and have spawned a bunch of LIBERALS who vote Democrat! Maybe it’s because they left...and got tainted here...LOL

I’m with you on that Mulberry. We can’t count on the court ruling our way. It’s too easy to “buy” judges off, or threaten them, and if push comes to shove a conservative judge might well commit suicide in some odd way.

I’m not at all surprised that the liberal media is surprised at the obvious. They are flat earthers who are so tunnel visioned they can’t see anything but the path up the bum of big government.

“Edmonton, Alberta.”
Nice. Cold at night though. Even in August.
And the tunnels between downtown buildings make for a feeling of being rabbits or moles. But hey. At -22 degrees Fahrenheit, I won’t complain.

If the IM is ruled unconstitutional, the bill is gutted. There was no way the Dems were gonna pass it without the IM.

I’m not at all surprised that Chrissy is surprised.
To call that dolt uninformed and ignorant is to be kind.

Perhaps if he would actually do some research instead of relying on that tingly feeling running down his leg.
Amazing how stupid liberals actually are.

They’re probably from Toronto.
Unfortunately we haven’t found a cure for them, so we isolate them by letting them think they’re the center of the universe.

Yup. Even the word “mandate” can be offensive to a free people. Per the dictionary: “Mandate = an authoritative order or command, especially a written one.”

When it IS ruled unconstitutional...Chrissy will have that “tingling feeling” going DOWN his leg!!!!
To: QT3.14
The Hotair article mentions the distinct possibility that both the mandate and the overall legislation will be upheld on a 6-3 vote, with Kennedy (of course) and Roberts writing the decision as narrowly as possible to make sure this doesn't happen again for some other issue besides health-care (yeah, right).
It's realistic enough. Democrats have done a remarkably good job of putting left-wing ideologues on the high court who stick to their principles. Republicans, OTOH, must fight vicious attacks from the left on all of their nominees, several of whom have gone on to decide they were members of the left once they became SC justices. Kennedy is one of the biggest mistakes President Reagan ever made, and Roberts putting his stamp of approval on this grotesque expansion of federal power would be perfectly in keeping with the likes of Souter, John Paul Stevens, Harry Blackmun, William Brennan...

I will give it GWB, with some prodding he turned the SCOTUS for the better. This would not be possible if O Conner was still on the court.

I cant wait to see the looks on these so called journalists faces when this thing is deemed unconstitutional.Oh, they're already gearing up for that possibility. James Carville mentioned that the other day, when he said the Democrats would immediately start harping on the Supreme Court's decision stopping the recounts in Florida, in Bush v Gore, and took the Presidential decision away from the American voters. Then they'll push the importance of re-electing Obama to take the Supreme Court away from those 'conservatives'.
Yeah, it's horse hockey, but there are a lot of folks who STILL believe that, and the MSM will push it continually.
