Macy's Goes On the Down Low, Hooks Up With Obama Gay Group for 'Election Year' Campaign
Sunday, June 3, 2012 | Kristinn

While conservative activists have focused on the promotion of gay marriage by store chains J.C. Penny and Target, Macy's has gone under the culture radar in its partnership with the Obama-allied homosexual group, the Human Rights Campaign. The incoming president of HRC, Chad Griffin is an Obama bundler.

You won't see it in Macy's weekly sales circular, and you'd be hard pressed to find it on the front page of the Macy's website, but the Human Rights Camapign is loud and proud in declaring its partnership with Macy's urging customers to purchase "election year" Vote Equality t-shirts with the proceeds going to the Human Rights Camapaign.

Walking in to a local Macy's, one might see a rainbow-hued poster displayed at the entrance with the message "Celebrate Family + Friends, Love + Life, Equality + Respect, Pride + Joy."

Missing from the poster are the words Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual and Transgender. And the word Macy's. If one looks closely at the bottom of the poster displayed in the store a tiny Human Rights Campaign logo can be seen.

A click on Macy's Celebrate Diversity web page shows the non-descriptive Pride + Joy image which denotes (June 2012) "National Pride Month", along with other images of Macy's diversity month camapigns.

The (September 2012)Hispanic Heritage Month image reads, "Macy's Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month." The (February 2012) Black History Month image reads, "Macy's Celebrates Black History Month." The (May 2012) Asian Pacific American Heritage Month reads, "Macy's Celebrates Asian Pacific American Heritage Month."

See the pattern? Macy's makes clear to all its customers when they walk in the store that they are proud to associate the Macy's name with Hispanics, Blacks and Asian Pacific Americans. But when it comes to Macy's alliance with the LGBT community and its radical agenda, Macy's goes on the down low with a nod and a wink. Why won't Macy's use a poster that says, "Macy's Celebrates Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Month"? Macy's uses those word deep in its website, but not in public.

The Human Rights Campaign has a photo of a Macy's display promoting the "Vote Equality" campaign:

Again, no obvious mention of promoting homosexuality. Why won't Macy's and the Human Rights Campaign be forthright about their campaign?

According to the Human Rights Campaign, Macy's will feature the "Vote Equality" campaign in only six stores nationwide:

As we kick off LGBT Pride month today, HRC is proud to announce a growing partnership with Macy’s. The retailer will feature HRC merchandise in its Boston Downtown, Columbus Easton, Los Angeles Beverly Center, Macy’s Minneapolis, Saint Louis West County and San Francisco Union Square stores throughout the month of June.

Featured merchandise will include a “Vote Equality” t-shirt, which will be displayed prominently in stores during this election year. One hundred percent of proceeds from the partnership will go to HRC’s fight for LGBT equality.

On its web site, if one looks hard enough, Macy's promotion of Gay Pride parades can be found.

Macy's also proclaims, "MACY'S IS PROUD TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE HRC AND ALL ITS INITIATIVES"

Macy's also promotes its work with a suicide prevention group focused on LGBTQ youth.

One can also take the Pride Trivia quiz and maybe win a $100 Macy's gift card. (Who hand-dyed the first Gay Pride flag? What are the colors of the Gay Pride flag?).

The Obama administration is closely allied with the Human Rights Campaign. In addition to having an Obama bundler heading up the group, President Obama spoke at the group's 15th anniversary dinner last year.

Earlier this year, the Obama IRS was accused of leaking confidential tax documents from a traditional marriage group to the Human Rights Camapaign.

This is not the first year of the Macy's Pride + Joy campaign, but Macy's involvement in election year politics encouraging customers to vote for the radical homosexual, lesbian, bisexual and transgender agenda of Obama and the Democrats takes the effort to a new level.

Of course debt is up $1.6 trillion

remember that vote that jammed the increase in the debt ceiling down out throats? Just before our debt was downgraded?

Boner et al believed “compromise” and putting the Dept of Defense and MEDICARE on the table for “sequestration” (a sacrificial lamb) would make the democrats finally grow up after running through another $1.5 trillion increase in their allowance - just before the elections

Meanwhile the democrats knew they had no intention of stopping spending, that $1.6 trillion would tide them through obama’s next election before raising the debt ceiling again, and that the GOP does not have the stones to stop them

We the People were screwed

but only a few people and some FOX news analysts seemed to notice, or care

Macy’s department store showcases drag queen in downtown store for “gay pride week” fashion show

In your face: Macy’s Department Store in downtown Boston has prominent display window for “Gay Pride Week.’
Taken down after one business day — after MassResistance pressure!

Macy’s backs down — removed the most offensive parts of window display but still keeps “Gay Pride Week” calendar of events.

This needs to be posted as much as possible...too many people do not understand what is going on...

Khrushchev was right...back in 1959. His comrades have the schools, the entertainment media, much of the government.

Macy's Goes On the Down Low, Hooks Up With Obama Gay Group for 'Election Year' Campaign

Maybe for the duration they could just call themselves Gacy's.

Why are all these major retailers going to these lengths for 3.5% of the population?

For the same reason that some folks are getting hysterical over CO2 that is only about 0.04% of the atmosphere and is required for life: what they believe is more important than reality itself because their belief has become their reality. Remember the tulip mania of 15th century Holland, the flagellants of 14th century Europe, the anti-Jewish mania of 7th century Islam and 20th century Nazis, the capitalism is going to kill us all mania of the 19th and 20th centuries, and the frantic man-made chemicals are going to kill us all or radiation is going to kill us all or DDT is going to kill us all or nuclear winter is going to kill us all or over-population is going to kill us all manias of the 20th century?

And in the minds of these fanatics (though I haven't heard this with respect to the tulip maniacs and flagellants), if you diss their belief, you're dissing reality and they'll number you among the enemy that is preventing them, through the implementation of their program, from saving the world.

What they believe is more important than reality itself because their belief has become their reality.

This is as old as man himself. Even Jesus remarked on this phenomenon:

“To what, then, can I compare the people of this generation? What are they like? They are like children sitting in the marketplace and calling out to each other:
“‘We played the flute for you,
and you did not dance;
we sang a dirge,
and you did not cry.’
They are sitting in the middle of the hustle and bustle of real life and wondering why others don't respond to their ideas of reality, ideas that also happen to get cause and effect exactly backwards.

These people are evil for using the equals sign to further their agenda. The word “Redefine” would be more accurate.

"Why are all these major retailers going to these lengths for 3.5% of the population? Are they crazy?"

Where do you think these gay and lesbian people work? Department stores, particularly in management.

I believe the people now at the top in these companies are most likely gay...

Make that "queer" (we on FR really ought to drop that word "gay" and go with what we called them in the good ol' days).

“It is actually less 1.8% of the population is homosexual. It is a bit higher in Liberal big cities. Even in San Francisco, I doubt the population is more than 3% gay.”

Thanks for correcting that, the erroneous 3.5% had been posted multiple times. The higher number comes from the homo lobby itself to inflate their perceived acceptance numbers. This small # of sexual deviants should be more loudly quoted by the right, we don’t need to encourage more of it, it needs to be discouraged. Overthrow homo marriage by initiatives wherever the Democrats try to force it via laws.

My comment was made in terms of not having a racist AG, pro-queer DOJ, an FBI that is used to investigate political opponents, matters such as these.

As far as the $$$ goes, let's be realistic, no way do the Republicans want to take the blame for a government shutdown. Look at what it did for Clinton's reelection efforts: it was a HUGE plus for him that the GOP (through the MSM) falsely got blamed for it.

Also, WTH can really be done when the Senate is still under RAT control and is led by a true sh*tbag that won't let any budgetary bills on the floor?

The freak show is coming to an end, I believe there will be much, if not massive, amounts of improvement in nearly every facet of life once the circus is thrown out of town.

Back in the late 70’s and 80’s I noticed how much money this element of society had to spend. In New York, not only in the Village, but midtown and in the Hampton's. CBS entertainment, N.Y.Stock Exchange to give a couple of examples of blatant behavior. Almost all of the clubs were very well represented by the free spenders. Rule of thumb was always demand the bartender open your beer in front of you and never leave a drink unattended. Bottom line.....money talks and b___s____ walks.

It’s a private business and they should be able to do whatever they want. Now we can watch their sales drop and watch them scratch their heads asking why.
