Democratic leader consoles Wisconsin party after recall
By Brendan O'Brien | Reuters – 9 hours ago

MILWAUKEE (Reuters) - Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz rallied Wisconsin Democrats holding their state convention this weekend, urging them to regroup after a failed attempt to recall the state's Republican governor.

Wasserman Schultz said Wisconsin Democrats had been up against "nothing short of an avalanche of secret, out of state, and corporate special interest money" in their bid to unseat Governor Scott Walker, who enjoyed a 7-to-1 financial advantage over his challenger Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

In this corner: an avalanche of secret, out of state, and corporate special interest money...

vs unlimited hordes of Marxist-Union thugs bearing millions in cash stolen from union rank and file.

Ummmm....Debbie is the National DNC Chair. She holds the purse strings. If she’s bitching they outspent them, it’s directly her fault.

And when you look at what the unions, and outside democrat special interest groups, and the free press the media has given them for 16 months, the spending lines up pretty much even.

I understand you put up a front talking meme about the outspent 7-to-1 to the public. But why do you have to lie to your own people?

I would be very worried if I participated in the WI Dem convention. It is not as if they wouldn’t know the ‘true story’, they were there.

Oh baloney...much of this was shere motivation on the part of the individual organizations and allied organization - the DNC itself could have pumped a lot more money in to assist but read the polls and decided not to risk that much money on something unlikely to be a victory with general elections coming up. Meanwhile GOP orgs saw victory was at hand and got in there to solidify it. Democrat decisions not to pump more resources in was there decision - but they spin to try to blame it on the Republicans because they did.

Got that right. Most of the mailings we received were union-generated.

Let’s not forget sight of the fact that the WI democrats took control of the state senate, 17-16.

Now, I think 16 out of 33 state senate seats are up for re-election this Novemebr.

Walker could be hobbled for the rest of his term if the dems block everything in the state senate.

It means Wisconsonites have to actually ramp up the fight rather than wind down and relax.

Having seen ol’ Debbie on air more than once....allow me:

Debbie, you airheaded bitch....you lost. Get over it. Your 15 minutes are up. Go back to being a temp. You haven’t the slightest idea what strategy is all about; I’d take you on in a heartbeat and you’d lose. You’re out of your league, wench.

Scott Walker, who enjoyed a 7-to-1 financial advantage over his challenger Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett...I know libs enjoy making up lies out of thin air, but this really is over the top - union money amounted to close to $25 million according to some independent estimates - at best Walker had a two to one advantage in funding - and Wasserman whatsername didn't cry any tears earlier in the year when Obama was boasting he was going to raise a billion dollars for his campaign, did she?.....

Liberals enjoy being lied to. Indeed, they lie to themselves every day.

I’ve no doubt that, if all the political expenditures in Wisconsin since the last general election were added up — the protests, the recall referenda, the Supreme Court election and, finally, the recall election itself — the Democrats and union thugs far outspent the Republicans.

Ugly women become liberals as the only way to get attention. Evidence: Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz, Patty Osama Murray, Barbara Mikulski, Nancy botox Pelosi, Sheila Jackson Lee, etc.

There they are. Wisconsites will need to give their take on this - are any of the seats currently held by the GOP in real danger of being lost? Is it possible any of these Dems are vulnerable and a pickup is possible to retake control of the Senate? It looks like a couple of them have their seats from the last round of recalls - and redistricting under GOP control will be in effect this time around, right? I would think that at least Jessica King would be vulnerable - the reason she won that recall has nothing to do with what drove the recall but the GOP incumbent had personal scandals...and even with all of that going on she still barely won in that district.

Hey, you are a little premature. The deciding election for Van Waangard is not yet decided. Its too close and Van Waangard has not conceded - may go to a recount.

Also, even if he loses the Senate is not in session until Jan. The election in November uses the new redistricted maps which should allow Rs to pick up 3-4 seats.

Of course we (esp the Tea Parties) will be driving it home with our tested voter lists and GOTV.
