Jerry Sandusky, the former Assistant Coach for Penn State, was found guilty today of molesting children. The high-profile began last year when almost a dozen people came out, revealing that Sandusky has molested them, which then resulted in the firing of Penn State Head Coach Joe Paterno.
Sandusky was found guilty of at least some of the almost 50 that were levied against him. The jurors deliberated for two days, starting yesterday.

Sandusky's stepson also stated yesterday that his father had abused him. However, jurors were not aware of this as they were sequestered.
Sandusky faces up to 400 years in prison.

Constantine did gain a great deal of control of a church - the Arian Church - which he championed AFTER Nicea since the Catholic Church rejected his attempts to control it.

To be honest, at his age he’ll probably be kept away from the general prison population. At least in Texas, there are less hazardous blocks reserved for the elderly.
Jesus of Nazareth is the son of God—the Greek word of Christ is a religious title (if you hollered “Hey Christ!” Jesus would not have turned around) afforded him by the early Christian sects so Jesus may not be a religion but “Christ” certainly is.
And perhaps you should research the many religions that preceded Christ about whether Christ was the reason for them.
The victims in court aren’t the ones who were pimped out. There are more out there.
I do not mean to imply that only Catholics are saved...HOWEVER....Christ came to earth with a purpose in mind. That purpose was to establish a new covenant with mankind and provide aa method whereby they might seek forgiveness for their own shortcomings as well as atone for the failure of mankind itself. He, through His disciples, started what has become the Roman Catholic church and He instructed all to follow His teachings and methods. All was fairly smooth for about 1,600 years and then along came "Reformers" who figured they they knew better than Christ and the disciples, how to form a religion. Instead of correcting any ills within the church, they decided to go off on their own systems and caused, over the centuries, millions of people to put their souls in jeopardy.
You can follow whatever leader you choose....as for me, I'll stick with the original plan, do my best to fulfill my responsibilities therein and use Christ's own words to have my sins forgiven...."whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them, whose sins you shall retain, they shall be retained".....sounds good to me....a promise from Christ ought to,at least, be considered. He also mentioned something about being with His church until the end of time and did not mention heving a bunch of helpers spring up l,600 years later!!!

We are responsible for ourselves and any offspring—(Freedom). It is the duty of all parents to raise and nurture their offspring. (All studies have found that biological parents are the safest for children—both physically and emotionally. The genetic factor creates a probability of concern higher than if no genetic link with maternal instinct and father protective instincts).
Orphanages were always horrid places for children with ton of abuse and killings. Non parent custodial situations always have high abuse levels.
Government can never protect all people or children. It is true-—if the populace is non-Virtuous-—there can be no freedom. Government would have to intervene in all areas.
Government has limited duties-—and it is not parenting or interfering with the ideology of the parents and their right to raise their own children with their own ideology. It is the fundamental meaning of freedom.
Government should encourage Virtue in all areas through Rule of Law (Justice which is a Virtue). All government laws should encourage parents to do their Duty (Natural Law Theory) and that includes no welfare, socialist state which creates dependent, immature, immoral people. It also means getting rid of no-fault divorce which destroys the marriage contract-—the laws have to create for the general welfare a situation which rewards people who take care of their own progeny and discourages out of wedlock births—etc.—Vice can never be supported or encouraged by Just Law.
Will some children get damaged and abused by their parents. Yes. It is human nature-—but it is far safer for children to be cared for by their own family than strangers who don’t have a genetic interest in their future.
It is not the job of government to educate the children-—that belongs to the parents and the government needs to get out of the way and create Just Law which rewards the Good and discourages Evil.

I believe I read somewhere that pedophiles are the worst of the worst in prison. Just around rapists. You have to feel sorry (in a way - despicable a person that he is) that he’ll have to be isolated for the rest of his life.
