Insanity, Thy Name Is Democrat. Or IS it Insanity After All.....?
Free Republic Original Content | June 24, 2012 | By Laz A. Mataz

In recent days, the freakish braying of the Democrat Donkey has reached a vertigo-inducing level of true insanity.

We have the Democrats deciding that Obama does not need to be qualified to be President to serve as President, the urging of the Botox Battlewagon Nancy Pelosi for Obama to seize control of the duties of the Supreme Court, Obama's Environmental Protection Agency fining businesses for not doing the impossible, and the declaration that a near act of war surreptitiously committed against the Mexican government is not a scandal.

Tired of the continuing arguments that may show Obama to be ineligible to be President, the Democrats (in the form of the Tennessee Democrat Party and the Democrat National Committee) have filed a motion that states -- and I quote -- "Defendants assert that the Tennessee Democrat Party has the right to nominate whoever it chooses to run as a candidate, including someone who is not qualified for the office[1]". In this manner, they declare that the impossible is not only possible, but desirable.

Nancy Pelosi, who clearly hails from a universe in which Spock sports a goatee and the Federation uses Agonizer Booths to maintain order, has recently urged President Obama to completely ignore the role and responsibility of the Supreme Court, by saying recently, "I think he should [declare the debt ceiling unconstitutional][2]". Never mind that a President cannot 'declare' a law Unconstitutional, that is a privilege and a duty reserved to the Supreme Court of the United States.

In another example of 'the impossible must be done', the EPA has fined (in 2011), and plans much more aggressive fines in 2012, various oil refineries who must use a product that simply does not exist in sufficient quantities to comply[3]. With this thinking, surely they can mandate, then fine for failure, the inclusion of three cups of gossamer fairy wings in every hundred gallons of gas.

And finally, there is the act of war the American government has committed against Mexico, by supplying (most to the Sinaloas[4]) drug gangs weapons that were purchased in America by strawmen. The strawman purchases were noticed, flagged, and permitted -- without any attempt to trace them -- by the BATF, under the direction of Eric (With)Holder. One wonders why.... until one remembers Obama's quote to Sarah Brady, that he was working on gun control 'under the radar'[5]. Also, in the footnote 4), above, a reasonable person might wonder if Obama's administration has actually chosen sides in the Mexican Drug Cartel Wars, placing their fealty with the Sinaloas gang.

That's the lawbreaking part. The insanity surrounding it is that we are starting to see the liberal footsoldiers declare that this is not even a scandal[6], and that even bringing it up is 'racist'. (Yes, once again, the overused, over-its-limit Race Card is presented.)

All of this is insanity. Unless, of course, the goal was to weaken America in any way possible: Weaken her laws, weaken her Constitution, weaken her businesses, and weaken her relations with her neighbors.

Then, it would be being crazy like a fox.

Well written Laz. However, any number of us here can cite so many other egregious actions by the Bambi administration and Congress, as you well know. Still, thank you for the above. Looks like you're getting tired of this insanity into socialist oblivion, also. Good to see you can get past your sexual innuendo and make a point.

Solutions?
Term limits;
Sunset clauses for non-essential legislation;
Eliminate/reduce various agencies and bureaucracies through dis-funding;
Constitutional Amendment to repeal the 17th Amendment;
Constitutional Amendment to require a balanced budget, much like many States have;
Limited funding for re-election dollars. Yes, I know that supposedly runs contrary to the 1st Amendment, but 1st needs to be refine so as not all inclusive and and hurt our system;
Re-affirmation of the 9th and 10th Amendments for States' Rights;
All federal government employees, including the President, live within all legislation. I think that was passed by the Newt's "Contract for America", but wasn't signed into law. If it was...what happened?
More adjustment of the welfare system. Had a good start with the Republican congress during Clinton years, but is now being abused again;
Either a flat tax or a sales tax to make the some 49% who don't pay into the system, PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE FOR THE SAME SERVICES PROVIDED!

I can go on if you make me King of America for just one day. Give me 24 hours of absolute power and I could give us "hope" and "change" back to our Constitutional principles that changed the world for the better. The "gimmes" will have to depend on the generosity of the Churches and Charitable organizations.

Okay, I may need 48 hours, but after that, I'm kicked out.

Good to see you can get past your sexual innuendo and make a point.

Check my home page links. There are a series of six 'Serious Editorials'. Work your way from 6, backwards, because they improved over time. #1 and #2 are barely acceptable, but they get much stronger.

Oh, by the way, the word 'innuendo' is, in fact, an innuendo. LOL

One simply cannot make so many 'serial mistakes'.

That's right. Just look at the people who are making policy for Obama, and then at what they clearly believe. Every single one of them is possessed of the radical Progressive ideology and their leader (not Obama really, but Valerie Jarrett) has the cold dead eyes of a shark and at least according to insider accounts, a corresponding personality.

"Oh, by the way, the word 'innuendo' is, in fact, an innuendo. LOL"

You're still a sick puppy...har!

So what do you think of my suggestions? I once posted many more specifics, but the above is the quick down and dirty. Can I count on your vote to make me King for just 48 hours? After which, the military gets to escort me out of the White House or where ever I set up my Kingdom for a day or two - I'm thinking Maui. If I have your vote, I also will make you owner of the hottest nightclub in your area.

Okay, so power does corrupt, but you'd be the coolest guy in the club (I know - I owned a niteclub) and I have returned us to our Constitutional roots. What's the down side?

Forgot to mention that all my decrees cannot be undone.

Thanks for the thread, Lazamataz. Excellent essay.

And thanks for the 2010 Anti-War rally link, Islander7. Unbelievable collection of photos there.

Good stuff and well written. You should be a “community organizer”. Oh wait, you’re not the correct ethnicity. Or maybe you are. Have you extra melanin in your skin as opposed to evil western Europeans? Is it black, brown, yellow, or maybe purple? Purple would be good ‘cause then you could represent all, including “alternative lifestyles”, to be politically correct. Or for those not so inclined, queers.
