Conservatives turn on Roberts

Conservative Chief John Roberts single-handedly saved Obamacare today, siding with the liberal bloc of the Supreme Court to uphold the law, even though more moderate Justice Anthony Kennedy led the dissent.

The steps of the Supreme Court this morning were packed with conservatives deeply disappointed by the ruling and hurt by the apparent betrayal of one of their own. ”I think a lot of Chief Justice Roberts. I think his whole history of jurisprudence is deserving of respect from this country — up to, and not necessarily including, this opinion today,” Rep. Steve King, a Republican from Iowa, told Salon. “If I issued an opinion, I think Chief Justice Roberts would want to read my full opinion before he criticized me, and I want to read his opinion, but really, I have a sick feeling in my stomach about what happened here today.”

--snip--

Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Tea Party Republican from Texas, told Salon of Roberts, “I’m sorry he’s become so cynical.” ”He expects the president of the United States to lie to him, and to lie to America when [Obama] said — and he had it said on his behalf repeatedly — this was not a tax. For Justice Roberts to say, of course it’s a tax, he makes very clearly that he believes the president is a liar and it’s a sad day for America,” Gohmert explained.

--snip--

“It’s a terrible day for the American people,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann, the Minnesota Republican who ran for president. “This was an activist court that rewrote the law to make it even more ineffectual, and even more expensive. So this is a sad day.”

“Chief Justice Roberts was the worst part of the Bush legacy,” Ben Shaprio, a conservative columnist and editor at Breitbart.com, said on Twitter.

Robert’s vote will be a huge plus in November elections. Now, we all small government types are more energized to vote. It is not his job to decide if a law is good or bad. That is upto voters-—>congress-—>president.

That is what elections are for.

Elections most assuredly including primaries and all the stuff that leads INTO primaries like publicity. The people who did not vote in GOP primaries this year but could have, would have sufficed in principle to get Herman Cain or Newt Gingrich or whatever not-Mitt into the nomination.

Obama, in the meantime, just gained a quantum leap in stink. What has he to say about this — who cares? Obamacare was his totally 100% partisan baby and he can’t burn THAT birth certificate.

This ruling has energized the country. Roberts knows the individual mandate is unconstitutional. It is not mere bad law, it is unconstitutional!

He is just afraid of Senator Leahy from Vermont. The Senator, in a drunken stupor on the Senate floor challenged Roberts to do the correct thing on OBAMACARE.

Why wouldn't they? It turns out Justice Kennedy better understands the Constitution.

Another point of comparison between Reagan and a Bush, BTW.

Those liberal pols and pundits who, fearing that the law would be overturned, said that Roberts’ (and the Court’s) reputation would suffer for it were indeed correct.

Yeah, then we get a big-government liberal Republican like Mitt Romney into the White House, all while pretending we're winning something.

Talk about being optimistic when there is one drop of water left in the cup.

He had no business re-baptizing the ObamaCare argument based on the commerce clause, changing it into a new tax law. The Supreme Court is not authorized to make new legislation. No wonder Scalia was livid at this betrayal by another Big Government lackey, Roberts.

I told you to watchout for George Bush Supreme appointments..
I've been waiting for this.. or something like this..

Robets was put in just for a time such as this..
If you think Roberts is a traitor what does this make G. Bush?..
The next traitor may be Alito..

Bush also made Obama possible.. followed by Juan Maclaim and Myth Romney..
America is writhing in political epilepsy..

OR worse the "Animal Farm" is complete..
Because America is being farmed culled and milked like farm animals..
