Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the last GOP running mate, predicted former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice would make a “wonderful” vice president for Mitt Romney.

“I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president, and she certainly has much more experience than our sitting president does today,” Palin said Thursday night on Fox News’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

I agree, and I hate how the Ron Paulers love to start their arguments by trotting out the labels like “neocon” or “chickenhawks”. Maybe they don't realize we have a VOLUNTARY army, so men sign up and go where they are told. Now, I am not really for nation building and all that crap, but I am for fighting Al Queda THERE than over HERE.

She doesn’t need to provide “concrete evidence”. She’s Sarah Palin.

Well, Iraq is a free nation and they are no longer being murdered by a dictator over there and boiled alive in oil for speaking against him. That is not a negative!

her comment that Condi is more qualified than the sitting President

That's what used to be known as "damning with faint praise".

RE :”“I thought Sarah was pro-life.” Yeah, well, sooner or later people will see Sarah’s true colors...she’s a ‘team’ player...and it ain’t the conservative team!
Don’t be fooled by Rice! She’s the one who went to Mexico and gave illegal aliens Social Security! She’s the worst kind of globalist/elitist and was NEVER conservative! She likes the Kyoto treaty!
She is ALL about amnesty! Do some research before you swallow this BS!

Condi would be a show figure much like her and Powell were under GWB. Except I don't think she plays politics.(She strikes me as a good person regardless of her opinions.)

Funny that you would ping me to an article referencing Palin AND Condi because I see Condi wanting to run as VP as likely as I used to tell you that Palin would run for POTUS, which is close to 0%.

At least Condi is not playing up the big tease that she will run to maximize $$$ when she had no intention of doing it.

I don't like GWB or Romney

Why does Palin's opinion on this matter anyway? Is she still teasing the most gullible? Going to jump in at the convention ??? LOL

Let’s hope Romney just floated the name out there to gauge the reaction.

The poll I saw, ostensibly testing the reaction of GOP voters (but likely slanted by outsiders), favored Condi by a wide margin over an unnamed alternative. Hope Romney is not paying much attention to that.

Sarah said that the Veep wouldn't legislate. What?

Doesn't the Veep legislate as a tie breaker in the senate?? And, should something become of the president, the Veep then becomes President. Yikes.

You are correct. What many seem to be missing is that this decision is up to Romney. His decision will send a signal to the party as to how much he respects the conservative wing of the party. Selecting a RINO is a political statement entirely under his control. Choosing Rice is poking conservatives in the eye.

“Why do people here want to throw him under the bus?”

I am not willing to trust either one of them on a hypothesis that is just supposition and wishful thinking. If mitt chooses condi... it will be because of her progressive ideology and her pro abortion stance.

I have to add, though, then when I reviewed the video, she wasn’t nearly as enthusiastic as she has been when commenting on other candidates. I’d call that a ‘tell’.

Good grief.

” Sarah, “wonderful” is not a word I would have chosen for the politically one dimentional Rice, as a possible VP alternate to the president. “

Rice, with her specialty being Russia in her head, is not all that conservative, and paired on the ticket with the socialist Romney, is not “wonderful”.

Rice is pro abortion in the vein of Laura and Barbara....to say....quiet about it, but pro-abortion nevertheless.

Sarah is getting better at blurring some hard lines now, in the name of....well,......er,....in the name of WTH?

Thought she was “ON” to the Establishment types, RINOS, political elites, etc.?

McCain was bad enough, but Hatch (who has “profound respect for Roberts”)? Rice?

“Wonderful” is nearly, almost, an endorsement. Come ON.
