I don’t know their politics, but our family enjoys Bob Evans:

— breakfast available all day
— great biscuits
— decent variety, even for kids meals (you don’t have to default to french fries)
— nice dinner salads
— “low cal/low fat” options that taste good
— they carry Coke (not Pepsi) products

Our local Huckleberry’s is owned by a Christian family. Huckleberry’s is a breakfast/lunch restaurant that has Huck Finn decor. Food is delicious.

We had 5 kids as well now it’s just my wife and I 97% of the time and we are finding it hard to “downsize” our cooking for just the 2 of us. Sometimes we just look @ the kitchen and say “Let’s just go out to eat”.

Pizza Ranch! Started in Hull, Iowa, I have a sister and Brother-in-law that live there. It’s a midwest tradition! Love it!

East Tennessee Freepers meet at Perkins first Wednesday of the month. Food is not bad and they let us stay a longtime

Nothing wrong with Olive Garden. Kind of ‘average joe’ restaurant. Must be a pretty pitiful person who would mock someone as snooty to eat there. Those must be the kind of person who thinks a fancy Sunday meal is grazing Wal Mart samples.

The Olive Garden, of course!

I don't want to be treated like family, that's why I went out to dinner!

Good info to know. It would be great if there were a list of various retail/grocery/hardware/etc. stores which follow the pattern of Chick-Fil-A. I’m sick to death of supporting businesses that I suddenly find out promote repulsively degenerate socialist and anti-Christian causes.

If there were just a handful of decent companies out there, enough to cover the vast majority of needs, I’d limit my business to them EXCLUSIVELY. The left-wing, morally deviant corporations can just go choke on it. Like hell am I going to keep rewarding these scumbags that have turned the country into such a sewer!

Sometimes we just look @ the kitchen and say “Let’s just go out to eat”.

Without getting off topic, I love when it is just my wife and I at home for dinner.

The kitchen can be very sensual. :)

I'll check in with a tip o' the hat for Texas-based Whataburger.

Beside my obvious affinity for a locally-based, family-owned company, I've found the stores to pass the QSC test. And, although mostly famed for their hamburgers, their pancakes are without equal. My late wife was a very picky eater and abhorred most fast food yet she loved the meals from Whataburger.

A ping to a few other Texans to elicit their thoughts.

By the way, Chris went out at about 9:00 pm last night to get us some chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A. There was a satellite news truck there and even though the crowd had died down some, the manager was outside the door turning people away. They were running out of food. So we had to settle for Burger King grilled chicken sandwiches. And I really wanted to try that Chick-Fil-A grilled chicken club sandwich with bacon and cheese. Darn.

In N Out. I have heard about their Christian faith by the owners, they put bible verses on the bottom of their drink cups, and they support adoption groups.

We had the same problem in Omaha(our “Chick-Fil-A “Express”” ran out of food around 1800) so we went to another family friendly, Christian Owned outfit, “Pizza Ranch”.

I know only one Waffle House owner; he happens to own about ten of the locations. Jim, his politics are a lot like yours! Did I say enough?
