Palin: Tea partiers have 'no choice' but Romney; 'Of course they're going w/ anybody but Obama'
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 13, 2012 | Drew Zahn

After a long and sharply contested GOP primary battle, many Republicans, conservatives and tea-party types have been left questioning whether they can, in good conscience, vote for Mitt Romney in November.

Romney’s statements as a former advocate of legalized abortion, his hotly contested record on same-sex marriage and his health-care reforms while governor of Massachusetts – sometimes maligned as “Romneycare” – have left conservatives uncertain if the presumptive Republican nominee is really one of their own.

Tea-party darling and former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, however, is basically dismissing the concerns, telling Fox News Channel’s Shannon Bream that Romney has the Republican Party’s conservative base in the bag.

On “America’s News Headquarters” over the weekend, host Bream asked Palin if Romney’s choice of Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as running mate would help persuade those “not completely sold” on the name at the top of the GOP ticket...

The analogy that I’ve heard best describe it is that of a black hole. We’ve passed the even horizon and can’t get out, but we have yet to be sucked down its throat.

Folks like to say 2012 is the most important election of our lifetimes. I tend to disagree. 2008 was the most important. And America lost. The malignancy is fully embedded in the system now. 2012 is a bit of an anti-climax, as the country slides at an ever-quickening pace in its economic, social and cultural decay. I’m not going to humor myself into the delusion of believing Romney, the most embarrassingly conviction-less, flipflopping politician I’ve ever seen, is some kind of cure-all.

I think Ayn Rand had a good quote related to this, which goes something like: “You can ignore reality, but you can’t ignore the consequences of ignoring reality.”

'Of course they're going w/ anybody but Obama'

That sounds eerily like Karl Rove:

"Of COURSE they'll vote Republican, where ELSE are they gonna go?"

Governor Palin has more common sense, and more economic sense than many people who are against supporting the only nominee we ended up with. What do these people suggest as an alternative? 4 more years of Obama? Have they donned blinders and ignored all the destruction caused by the radical socialist from Chicago in 3.5 years? I dread how he will behave after he no longer has to worry about another election. Jobs are scarce, gas and food is escalating at furious rate, national debt is reaching Greece like proportions and no country respects us or fears us since Obozo is C-in-C. The coming election will be a watershed event.

When asked if she would endorse and stump for the presumptive GOP ticket, Palin responded, “Oh, 100 percent in support; I’m all in for Romney and Ryan.”

Can somebody post that Body Snatchers picture of Donald Sutherland?

That’s about the best succinct analysis of the present situation and how it came to this as I’ve seen in a very long time.

Well done, Sir.

What else is she going say when asked? She does not want to be blamed for getting zero back in. So when asked she will say yea R ticket. but got for Congress as well. She will not go all out for top of ticket. Her heart is not in it. But the alternative is zero back again and that makes us all want to upchuck even more than Romney (who makes me vomit a little).

I fully agree.

When I'm at work, I like to keep my mouth shut about my political leanings (although my truck's bumper stickers shout it out loud and clear), but I like to get my coworkers talking about their thoughts, just so I can get a clear picture of what the opposition is thinking and planning.

After this weekend's announcement, all of the liberals are in full panic mode. I heard everything from dumping Biden to overwhelming Facebook, Twitter, and the Internet with rumors and suppositions about Ryan and his credibility. It looks like it'll be an interesting couple of months between now and November.

I am getting very, very worried about the course of the direction this nation is going. If Obama is re-elected, we could very well end up having a second American revolution.

Don't forget the American voters. If it is unrecoverable they have a lot to do with it.

They have everything to do with it.

As they did in 2010.

See my new tagline.

“Obama’s supporters are scared, scared that they might lose, God knows what they will do between now and November to stop the election from taking place, now is truly scary times”

Yep. While some prefer to debate the shades of conservatism the other side is going nuclear. I expect something big before November. Like war with Iran or Romneys full tax returns leaked.

If the dims win in November and get “flexibility” America as we know it is over. Barry will be free to pack the court and hit us with every nutty pinko scheme they have dreamed of for a hundred years.
