That was as ugly a game I have ever watched.
My concern is for Jason Witten's health, not the Cowboys' season. Any person's well being is way more important than winning or losing any football game but that is a lesson you seem to have never, ever learned.
Two years ago I stop replying to your posts because of your innate meanspiritness and bad sportsmanship. I see it was a mistake to take notice of you again in the humorous intent of this thread.
I promise you this, this shall be the very last time I ever waste any of my time on you--
No fear, Fledermaus, they are just... the right size!
Oh, Bendy, it is so sweet... of you to say that!
I just cannot help but be loveable... I was programmed that way--
What was that, Ben? I couldn't... quiet hear it--
Were you saying you like number 12... in Cleveland?
This week looks like a 'W' for Da Bears. [not that I'd bet on it ;-)]
Then I can see it. Not too much to ask for :-)
If the offense performs as expected, the D will just have to show up. I think they’ll win a lot of games with scores like 27-24 and 35-28.
And with the Offense on the field scoring 28-35 pts then the D can get some rest. If they're on the field for 50+ plays a game it's over. They're too tired and worn out by the 4th quarter.
And I hope I'm wrong but to me Michael Bush looks like another wasted Free Agency pick up and more millions down the drain (again). He sucked BIG TIME last Thurs night. Yeah the blocking stunk, but he couldn't break a tackle by a girl the way he was 'running' [I was screaming at the TV -- %$#& @#&% CUT HIM! CUT HIM! :-)].
You must be a Bears fan... not a Cubs fan too I hope!
Go White Sox! :-)
I saw my 1st game at Comiskey Park in 1956 - that I can remember :-)
There's a photo of me taken when I was around 2. It's in our 'Front Room'(Chicago speak for Living Room) and I have a Sox Cap on and I'm swinging one of those little Bats.
[had great form even then ;-)]
You’re fortunate. I’ve been suffering with the Cubs for decades! Expecting good things from the Bears tho. Bulls, big question mark.
I grew up south of Chicago...my first Cub game was ‘62...
I've even been in the 'Friendly Confines' a few times. I think '62 may have been the first time for me too, a Cubs - Cardinals game that got rained out. Then once when my HS played for the Public HS League City Championship in '66, that got rained out too. We WON the next day at Comiskey Park, the day before I graduated. Then a couple times for Business -- I'd take Draftsman from our Engineering Dept as a little 'thanks guys' gesture (Company had season tickets when Harry Carey was w/ the Cubs. The 'Big Boss' was buds w/ Harry).
And I felt really bad for the Cubs with the 'Steve Bartman incident'. I was kinda crushed too.
Are you a believer yet?
But the only way Jay stayed upright last night was with Max Protection on the left side on a lot of plays. Webb played 'okay' but, he's still Webb. And the O-Line better get consistent opening holes for Forte or that ankle's gonna get hurt bad in a pile up. The real good thing to see was Brandon Marshall play like he did. Ditto for the Rookie WR Jeffery.
And the D was the D. They played like they should. And I had a feeling Romo would be picked a couple times. But not 5 times - ouch! ;-)
I’m trying to figure out, what happened in Green Bay? If the offense and defense play like this, they shouldn’t lose another game.
I thought Webb stepped up a lot. Also the secondary. Big question on D, why can’t they cover the middle of the field?Briggs and Urlacher looked a step slow on those middle crossing routes on that ridiculous Dallas drive at the end of the first half.
But it’s just a pleasure to watch the offense and defense come together like that.
You're right about the D and the Middle and that concerns me a lot. IMO it's due to the Tampa 2 scheme and 'bend but don't break' thinking. Because as I recall it's been that way since Lovie's been here. But Brian and Lance are older now and can't cover the ground they used to so more receivers get open now.
And the O-Line is playing like it has a split personality. That has to stop pdq or it's gonna be an 8-8 season (or 9-7).
Or worse, Cutler winds up in the Hospital with six cracked ribs a broken arm and a brain injury (no one can tell me he's 'soft' -- the guy's a Warrior!).
The key is consistency, which is of course the hallmark of any champion. If they take Jacksonville by something like 38 to 10, I feel confident moving forward. If not or if they lose, it’ll be a roller coaster the rest of the way.
