Paul Ryan And The Democrats "War on Facts" (Obama Can't Handle The Truth!)
Boston Herald ^ | August 31, 2012 | Michael Graham

“Dems need to hammer Ryan fast and prove clearly that he is a liar because he is a very skilled pol.”

— Howard Fineman,

Journalist (?)

The Huffington Post

To paraphrase Mark Twain, there are three kinds of liars: Liars, damned liars . . . and screaming, foamy-mouthed MSNBC hosts watching Paul Ryan speak.

We have now moved into what academics might call the “post-factual” portion of the Obama campaign. For example: Tuesday night Ann Romney gives a warm, charmingly earnest speech. Obama flak Robert Gibbs calls it an “angry” night “full of insults.” What “insults?” He doesn’t say. He just says “Republicans are angry!”

Why? Because he needs them to be.

The RNC features black Republicans like Condoleezza Rice, Rep. Artur Davis and Mia Love. CNN and MSNBC fill their panels with nuts like Toure and the Rev. Al Sharpton decrying the “racism” in Tampa. Their proof? They don’t need “proof.” For Obama to win, they need Republicans to be “racist” — so the pundits say they are.

Republican Mitch McCon- nell quips “Obama hasn’t been working to earn re-election. He’s been working to earn a spot on the PGA tour.” MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell knows what’s up: “He’s aligning . . . the lifestyle of Tiger Woods to Obama.”

And in perhaps the most blatant example, DNC spokesflak Debbie Wasserman Schultz used a Los Angeles Times article to claim that Mitt Romney is responsible for the abortion plank of the GOP platform. CNN’s Anderson Cooper confronted her with the fact that the Times article she quoted said the exact opposite — that Romney did not support the plank as written.

Wasserman Schultz’s answer? “Anderson, it doesn’t matter.”

Wow.

Liberal "news"man Howard...

Facts are married to logic... for Liberals it's the double whammy.

They have been at war with both for donkeys’ years!

There are a few of stretches in Ryan’s zingers that Dems are calling lies and in a tizzy about, yet where are the fact checkers over the made up stuff that Obama and his partners are throwing out there at Romney?

Much of these back and forths are hard to follow, it’s a typical election and neither of these two are pillars of truth.

It does seem that Dems are suddenly sounding worried. How long this will last .... I guess the Bush Republican convention is next.

While channel surfing, I caught a female newsreader on CNN claiming that factchecking showed something in Ryan’s speech was wrong.

Noticeable, she did not give any details of what exactly was ‘wrong’. She omitted that, leaving the viewers with the agenda message: Factchecking says Ryan was wrong.

On my way home from work last night I listened to two biased stations regarding Ryan’s remarks. One had Michael Medved pointing out that they were all factual. He hit them one by one. It was hard to argue with. The other showed how they were all NOT factual and even pulled the classic liberal trick of changing the subject.

An example was Simpson-Bowles, Commissionthat Obama ignored. They pointed out that Ryan was on the committee and against it too. As I was listening I said to the radio, “That is not relevant to your story or Ryan’s claim. What is relevant is Obama’s treatment of it. Did he treat it as Ryan said or not?” The answer, of course, is that Ryan told the truth. The other hit reports on his speech from this station were just as bad.

The station? NPR.

They were doing it to Romney this morning on my way in too.

That station is nothing but a “soft spoken” MSNBC.

Having seen Obama's swing, I would venture to observe that his position with repsect to the players on the PGA Tour would be analogous to that of a rodeo clown being named top bronc buster.

RE :”The other showed how they were all NOT factual and even pulled the classic liberal trick of changing the subject.

Similar with the 700B cuts. Obama himself claimed 700B of deficit rediction from those cuts (ie savings) to get his CBO score for his bill to pass, so Dems count that as a lie because the original Ryan plan keeps in place the same cuts(Ryan admits this) ,
Obama also claims he put that same money back into Medicare into another benefit(I think this happened after Obama-care was passed) , which means his deficit reduction claim was a lie (no surprise.)

I take anything regarding Medicare or deficit reduction with a grain of salt, they both are lying about it. Cutting medicare now for real deficit reduction would be the currect thing to do.
