Hello. Over at Legal insurrection is a post on making Monday, Labor Day, Empty Chair day. I like it. A real statement on the undermining of work and responsibility expressed so well by Clint Eastwood.

Pass it on and think of doing it in your lawn. A plain old empty chair, plastic or otherwise.

Pittsburgh is famous for reserving street parking spots with chairs by residents....especially in areas where street parking is all there is....like the South Side and Mt. Washington. Heaven help anyone who moves a chair and parks in some resident's "reserved spot". Of course this leaves blocks and blocks of empty chairs curbside in the street holding spaces during the day when folks are out and about....

i think....like the Bush campaign used just the single “W” for a campaign sticker.....we just need an empty chair with the red, white, blue as the coloring. That would be hysterical!
