The two easiest ways to make it in the Actor’s trade are nepotism or spreading your legs.
And just what has Jeff Bridges produced to earn those big bucks, beside hot air?
Remember Hollywood is heavily unionized with a history of ties to the communist party. To be successful in that setting one has to be clever about how to respond to questions of political association. Being silent is usually not an option either when put on the spot.
Hollywood is a whore.
As Andrew Wilkow says, “Socialism is for the people, not the Socialist.”
This is nothing. Obama’s house on the Hawaiian beach is rumored to be $35,000,000.
“Yeah, well, you know, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.”
The Big Lebowski is a great movie!
His father and in fact his whole family are or were in show biz. Nothing wrong with that. His politics are another issue.
Three words keep me from taking actors seriously in their politics; John Wilkes Booth.
Well, all I can say to a mansion like that is this:
The Dude abides.
Coincidentally , just got through watching a an episode of Sea Hunt from the 50’s starring his dad , Lloyd . A world federalist, Bridges once said, The devastation caused by war and the pollution of our environment knows no boundaries. Only an effective world government could provide sufficient law and have the power to control these destructive forces”.
Movie theatre attendance lowest in 20 years. Americans are fed up with the Hollywood elite and voting with their pocketbooks. Let the Clooneys, the Bridges’, the Hanks take it elsewhere. Not to mention that they make the criminal from Connecticut (Dodd) the president of the Movie Picture Assoc. of America. Not one dime for these people.
The three Bridges served honorably in the Coast Guard/Reserve and I thank them for their service.
Darn! I just watched “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot” again last night. (with Clint Eastwood, too..haha).
He really was one of my favorite actors.
Hope Jeff Goldblum keeps his political mouth shut. (I know he’s been a dem in the past.)
