Well...Mr. Romney? Show Us Your Cards NOW!
Self/Vanity | 9/17/2012 | my favorite headache

Well...Mr.Romney?

Now what?

Volume 1 of the Mother Jones tapes are out and David Corn says more are coming over the next week, promising clips every few days from his source.

So I am asking you as a Conservative who is impressed with the fact that behind closed doors you actually spoke like you had a real pair of balls and like a Conservative.

We now know where this was filmed...in Boca Raton at a billionaire's home who happens to be someone who you have done business with over the years. You seem to have a good memory...who sold you out that night?

You better think about who you have surrounding you Mitt. You see Willard, this is what happens when you hang out with Liberals and RINO's for so many years of your life. They will stick the knife in when you least expect it. You just got knifed by who you thought was one of your own.

Do you think a real Conservative would have done you in this way?

Not a chance.

This is your chance Willard. This is your chance to rid yourself of the RINO's, the Liberals around you, and embrace the grassroots Conservatives and Tea Party groups who are going to have to ride in and save your ass and THE DAY.

The tape is getting play on every network, every web site, Twitter etc...you can't walk this one back.

It's too big.

So, Mr. Romney? My question to you is this!

Are you ready to show us your cards? Are you ready to go all in now?

By cards I mean...are you ready to get ugly? Are you ready to start leaking out the stuff you know damn well exists on Barack Obama and his ilk? Are YOU and your INEPT campaign staff ready to release and leak video and audio?

How about college transcripts from Obama? How about documents that millions have been calling to see?

You and your friends have so much cash on hand you could easily roll this Chicago thug up in a second.

So the question begs...why are you playing possum with him and them?

This is your 3 AM wake up call Willard...you better answer the damn phone and show the country your cards because you are about to be swallowed up by a media mafia like you have never seen before.

You can waste a lot of time and money getting Democrats to vote for a Republican. It’s less time consuming and costs less to convince a Democrat to not bother voting.

Instead of Romney's 'cards to show'; how about more 'truth' demanded from Obama. The 'fool'; the 'joker'; narcissist and pathological liar. Romney's imperfect is clumsy - Obama's imperfect; is deliberately evil.

And those running Romney's campaign are simply, ignorant. And no points for Mitt; not 'getting it'.

Take a page from Allen West; and 'move on' through this. Take a page yet, from Clint. Best defense; a better offensive.

All it costs in this case is 5 min explaining that the statement is accurate and that before anyone screams ‘racist’ they should actually disprove his statements with fact. And most important of all, not back down.

If he’s campaigned on this to begin with we’d all be better off.

If Mitt had campaigned on 'that' I think Newt or Rick would have observed sagely that 'well, that's the first time I think anyone has ever proposed raising taxes on the poor will solve all our problems" And he'd been out of there!

Are you sure this guy has a grasp on reality?

Unless I misread, his statement was accurate. That people are offended by truth is why we are in this mess.. So the logical conclusion is to stop bullshitting people and speak truthfully.

A country with more employed people generates more tax revenue and has less welfare. Newt or Ronaldus himself would not argue with that on their worst day.

So far it's not looking good.

Says who? The polls? Pull yourself together, man. People around here are such gullible pussies - panicking over the enemy's every move.

If we weren't winning, they wouldn't be skewing the polls so heavily. Keep your chin up!

I agree. Romney has appeared “insensitive” All of us know people who’ve been devastated by the Obama “recovery”. I know people with Madters degrees picking up dog crap to pay the rent and collecting food stamps to buy canned tuna fish. I dont fault them for not paying taxes and it’s not like they wouldn’t love to have a paycheck and pay their share.

Many voters aren’t as political as we are - so be it. Romney has just stepped in it big time. Not because what he said isn’t mostly true but because this plays right into the “evil republican, millionaires and billionaires” meme.

The Lamestream are going to absolutely kill him 24/7 with this.

Stupid, stupid stupid

I was under heavy sedation this morning for a colonoscopy and spent the afternoon sleeping off the effects of the sedation yet I know what was meant in the first post. So, yeah, you are a bit behind but at least you are on FR so there is hope.

I agree with you 110% my friend. Nail his sorry a$$ to the podium. I've been suspecting that this is going to be his strategy for some time now. Good post bro.

I viewed the short video a little while ago. I just wasn’t up on what it was about. I worked today and I heard nothing about it on Hannity on the way home, then I came home and took a nap. So, I was behind. But, I must say: I agree with what he said, 100%. HOW CAN THIS BE A “PROBLEM” for Romney’s campaign. The people who will be offended by it are not going to vote for him anyhow. He needs to climb back on this horse and keep riding it and say: “Yeah, I said it and I meant it and it’s the truth. Now deal with it.” He better not get mealy-mouthed and start apologizing.

It will be a “problem” for Romney because the media will make it so while Romney’s GOP-e handlers try to figure out a favorable spin rather than working in the here and now. Corn also claims to have other such clips that will be posted over the coming days so that will assist the media in keeping the frank talk among the lead items in the “news” they present.

This will NOT hurt Romney. If “You didn’t build that” didn’t sink Obama, this will not sink Romney. The media cannot play this up anymore than Obama’s statement was played up. Actually, this might be the catalyst that was needed to get Romney to put up the Tiddly-Winks, take the gloves off, come out swinging and keep swinging until November 6.

Reading more comments, it seems that a lot of people on here think Romney “messed up”. O.K., maybe so. I still don’t think so. But, if this makes his campaign DOA, how about this: Romney steps down and we have a Ryan/Rubio Ticket.

This issue finally puts the election into simple, stark terms. After all, all the issues — everything from ObamaCare to EPA regulations — all boil down to one very basic question: How much government do you want, and who is going to pay for it?

Well, this is a philosophical debate we should finally have. Will the ones in the cart outvote the rest of us who are pulling the cart? Well, if the trend continues, then that is inevitable, we being at 47% already. But hopefully it won’t happen this November....

Sorry, Headache, but it won’t happen.

I’m a Massachusetts voter with Tea Party loyalties and I watched Mitt Romney lose a Senate bid against Ted Kennedy in 1994. And the biggest reason for the loss (besides running against the Blessed Liberal Lion in the bluest of blue states) is that Romney NEVER threw any of the abundant dirt he had available.

I was screaming the exact same thing — TAKE THE DAMN GLOVES OFF — but Mitt never did. Not once did he go negative on Teddy K, who had negatives by the ton to worry about, and that cost Mitt the election, IMHO.

Will he go negative now, with all the crap one could throw against Obummer?

Something tells me, no. Sorry and furious to say it, but no.

So you are saying we have gone from his campaign being Dole Part 2 to McCain Part 2?

The problem is that the Romney campaign is loaded with McCain and his own duped Obama squishy soft people. These people are stupid at least and back stabbers at most. Sarah could give Romney some good advice if he really, truly wanted it.

Nothing else. Not a thing. When you are fighting a war like this you have to throw EVERYTHING you got. 50 days here and the average American doesn’t tune into the debate

Doesn't matter. Your strategy is basically to watch TV and yell at the TV. My suggestion is turn off your TV.
