The same Randy Newman who used the “N” word in one of his songs?

He has a history of being rabidly anti-Southern male.

(From memory) One of his early songs..

We're Rednecks, Rednecks,
Don't know our ass from a whole in the ground.
We're Rednecks, Rednecks,
Keepin’ the (n-word) down.

>>The left are in freefall. Nothing’s too over the top. Expect crap like this daily right up to November.

I wish they’d discover self-immolation as a form of expression. I would be willing to buy the gas.

Ah, another one of the Puppetmaster tribe weighs in with some hatred for a Mormon. Aside from his sheer irrelevancy, why should we be surprised?

Dear Randy,

I’d rather dream of a white president than live the waking nightmare of your black president.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I wrote a song about Randy Newman. It starts like this:

Stupid people got
No reason to live!

I liked his song “Short People”...should have been written about Robert Reich.

Just wonderin’, has anyone ever seen Newman and Barney Frank in the same room together? Like I say, just wonderin’.

pathetic tune from him. Randy Newman is a semi-genius but this new tune is lame and incoherant. Being an Obama arse kisser has lowered his musical IQ.

Another HollyWeirded Out worshiper of the Mocha Messiah

Iroy is if he wrote “I’m Dreaming of a Black President” and laced it with reasons why people voted for a person because they are black,

he would have just described 99% of the blacks that voted for Obama and in general, how they vote for their local politicians.

Blacks admit they vote for blacks because they are black. They get no flak for their racist voting beliefs.

Randy Newman is a semi-genius

Yeah, but, he's also a DNA lottery winner...

The paternal side of his family includes three uncles who were noted Hollywood film-score composers: Alfred Newman, Lionel Newman and Emil Newman. Newman's cousins Thomas and David, and nephew Joey are also composers for motion pictures.

His callous use of the “N” word proves his deep-seated hatred of all black people. How hard would it have been to change that to “Blacks” or “African Americans”? He’s just another closet racist using politically incorrect language to make a buck.

It came out around the same time as Blazing Saddles. Satirical use of the word was actually more acceptable.

Fat people got
No reason
Fat people got
No reason
Fat people got
No reason to sing

They got
Flabby thighs
Beady eyes
They go around
Singing big, big lies
and I

Don’t want no Fat people round here

“Blazing Saddles”? I don’t care which homosexual night club he went to, that doesn’t mean that it’s OK for him to sing racist songs like that.

I’ve never understood the appeal of this guy’s music. The music and lyrics are always pedestrian, his voice makes Bob Dylan’s and Neil Young’s sound like Pavarotti.

If he didn’t get the attention from the horrible song, Short People, would he be where he is today?
