Help request. Does anybody have audio of Beckel's insult of Marines on The Five?

On Monday's edition of The Fox News Channel's "The Five", Bob Beckel insults the capabilities of our Marines by saying "no amount of Marines could have stopped the Embassy attacks".

That would only be true if those Marines had no ammo.

It seems like I've heard other RATS say the same thing over the past few days but I haven't been able to find any clips.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Semper Fi, Brother! I can't recall whether I was at Hill 55 or not. When I arrived at the end of April we were sent out to the Arizona. Had some heavy fighting there 11May1969 - Mothers' Day Massacre. We were out there for about 5-6 weeks as I recall. In late May, we were back in An Hoa for a few days. Posted to Operation Pipestone Canyon late May - Gonoy Island defoliation op - My major exposure to Agent Orange. Thereafter, in the hills west of An Hoa - not sure where we were - near the Laotian border. I was medevaced out for a con-combat injury at the end of June - spent a couple of weeks at USNH Yokosuka. Returned to Nam and out to the Arizona in early Aug. Hit 18Aug1969 - back to the states and in hospital until January '70.

Thank you very much, my Brother! There are many things I am proud of in my life - but nothing else compares to the pride I feel from having served as an FMF Corpsman with the Fighting Fifth Marines in one of our Nation's Honorable Causes - And we were kicking ass when I was there!

Unfortunately Beckel is correct due to what operational rules would be applied. In 1980 , I think, the large US embassy in Rawalpindi, Pakistan was stormed by a large mob and burned and destroyed. One US Army communications warrant was killed. The embassy had a full marine security contingent. How did this happen? The state department types from the ambassador on down absolutely forbade use of deadly force or any real counter measures. Instead everyone was to shelter in place in a ‘saferoom’ in the embassy. It was just luck that the pak military got to the location before everyone roasted to death. In 1974 on Cyprus a mob of Cypriots attacked the US embassy ostensibly because the US was not doing enough to get the Turks from invading the island. Once again the embassy had a full marine security contingent and a mob was permitted to break into embassy ground destroy everything outside the building include torch cars and inflict significant damage on the structure and, and, using the flaming vehicles as cover a sniper team probably KGB knew where to fire into the embassy and kill the US ambassador. Again Marines had been told to stand down gather in the building and prepare to use minimum force if the building was breached. One Marine was killed by the snipers as well, apparently the ambassador's body guard. This happened a couple days before Nixon resigned so it never got the visibility it merited. battalion of Marines would be useless with the mentality of the FS types who absolutely under no circumstances are going to permit US forces to use deadly force to defend a US embassy. ‘It sends a terrible message redolent of 19th century colonialism. US Marines killing foreign nationals in their own country defending something as archaic as extraterritoriality’ Direct quote from an instructor at the Foreign Service Academy.

I watched most of it, but must have missed that part. I do find it odd he would say something like that while wearing his USMC suspenders. Okay, well not really

Well, I hate to have to say this, but the whole show did not download. I was able to pull down one segment, but it wasn’t the right segment.

When the download began, it did show the length to be the whole show. Unfortunately it didn’t all download.

That got my attention when I heard Beckel say that. As a former marine I can assure Beckel that a small well armed marine squad could easily put down a mob of Islamists.

Too bad there's no such software available to do the same to DemocRATS.
