Lara Logan Lifts the Veil on Barack Obama's Failure in the War Against Islamofascism

RUSH: Lara Logan, CBS News. Do you remember two weeks ago, two Sundays ago, CBS 60 Minutes, she did a story on Afghanistan that was the same night as the Univision show, and I talked about both. This 60 Minutes piece of hers is not flattering to Obama at all. It was essentially about how we're blowing it in Afghanistan. Well, the Chicago Sun-Times, story by Laura Washington. Apparently Laura Logan went into town, made a speech last week at the Better Government Association's annual luncheon.

And it says here that she "delivered a provocative speech to about 1,100 influentials from government, politics, media, and the legal and corporate arenas. Such downtown gatherings are a regular on Chicago’s networking circuit. Her ominous and frightening message was gleaned from years of covering our wars in the Middle East. She arrived in Chicago on the heels of her Sept. 30 report, “The Longest War.” It examined the Afghanistan conflict and exposed the perils that still confront America, 11 years after 9/11." That was the 60 Minutes report that she did was on.

"Eleven years later, 'they' still hate us, now more than ever, Logan told the crowd. The Taliban and al-Qaida have not been vanquished, she added. They’re coming back." Lara Logan, CBS News, State-Controlled Media. She said, "I chose this subject because, one, I can’t stand, that there is a major lie being propagated. ... The lie is that America’s military might has tamed the Taliban." She said to this group of 1,100 influentials in Chicago last Tuesday, quote, "There is this narrative coming out of Washington for the last two years." That would be Obama, folks, not Bush. "There is this narrative coming out of Washington for the last two years. It is driven in part by Taliban apologists, who claim they are just the poor moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban. It’s such nonsense!"

We have not tamed the Taliban. America's military might has not tamed Al-Qaeda. She says that Al-Qaeda and the Taliban haven't been vanquished. They're coming back, and they're strong, and they hate us as much as ever. That wasn't supposed to happen. Remember? They were supposed to love us solely because of Barack Obama.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Let me remind you who Lara Logan is. This speech that she gave is devastating and it's in Obama's hometown, 1,100 influentials, means 1,100 Democrats of various stripes. She's telling these people that essentially our Middle Eastern policy is a lie and is not working, it's a disaster. The Taliban and Al-Qaeda are coming back stronger than ever, and we're getting out of Afghanistan, claiming to leave in victory. They hate us as much as ever. They haven't been vanquished. That's why they had to blame the videotape, because with Osama's death Al-Qaeda was supposed to have been summarily dealt with as well.

Lara Logan breaks her silence

Lara Logan was raped in Tahrir Square during the Arab Spring. You may remember this now that I bring it to your attention. She was gang raped by the democracy-loving protesters, the Arab Spring. Lara Logan has learned the hard way who's involved in the Arab Spring, and it wasn't an outbreak of democracy. It was not at all an extension of Obama's 2008 campaign. The Drive-Bys basically covered up the rape of Lara Logan. They talked about it, but they didn't spend any time being outraged by it. How could this possibly happen? They had to acknowledge it, but they didn't offer the details that were later learned.

She was gang raped by these people, and she still suffers nightmares and this kind of thing. She was eventually flown to Washington. She spent four days in the hospital being treated for internal tearing and so forth. It was a really, really violent thing, among the people that her compatriots in the media were trying to sell us as the next version of us. They were just democracy lovers. She said that she's speaking out to help end the code of silence surrounding sex assaults on female journalists in that part of the world and about our foreign policy being mischaracterized in general. And she is at CBS, State-Controlled Media.

In Philadelphia, we're starting with Josh. I'm glad you called, sir, great to have you with us, and how about that Michael Vick?

CALLER: Ahhh, Michael Vick, what are you gonna do? He's as overrated as the president.

RUSH: (laughing) You're good. I threw that out -- this caller had no idea I was gonna mention Michael Vick -- and you dealt with that expertly, sir. Congratulations.

CALLER: Thank you. Rush, it's a pleasure to speak to you. I'm an avid listener, I've read several of your books, and I greatly appreciate you taking the phone call. Last night, this afternoon with Mr. Romney's foreign policy, the man was right on the money. Did his homework, knows what he's talking about, and certainly has more experience than the neophyte who's currently occupying the White House.

RUSH: Let me ask you a question, Josh.

CALLER: Shoot.

RUSH: I know you're in the tank for Romney, and I don't blame you. I'm glad to hear it, in fact. But when you heard Romney speaking about American foreign policy, America's position in the world, was it as striking to you as it was to me compared to what we hear from Obama? Here we had somebody speaking of this country as the solution to the world's problems, somebody who understands America's role in the world in terms of leadership. I heard somebody speak of this country and the necessity around the world for this country, the way we always used to hear presidents talk about it. And the contrast in listening to the way Romney spoke about this country and the way Obama does when it comes to foreign policy, couldn't have been more different to me. It was striking. Did it hit you the same way? I don't mean to lead the witness here. Feel free to tell me "no" if you disagree with me.

CALLER: You're right on the money. I couldn't agree with you more. You know, every time I hear him speak, Mr. Obama, that is, I think of Neville Chamberlain. You know, the man's nothing more than an appeaser. Romney made reference to a strong military to abate evil and terrorism and so on and so forth. You know, I think Reagan said it best, he said "peace true strength." And Mr. Obama goes around bowing to foreign dignitaries. Come on.

RUSH: The basic problem is that Obama considers the United States the problem in the world. There are people now saying that we are exaggerating, those of us who reference Obama's apologies. "He didn't really apologize that much. This is something the right wing has concocted. He didn't really apologize." The hell he didn't, and he's not the only one. Bill Clinton has apologized for racism and all kinds of other things. Bill Clinton apologized for not stopping the genocide in Rwanda. The Democrats do it all the time, and they do it at the expense of US foreign policy. They do it for votes here. They do it to pander to special interest groups in this country. If you don't think it's serious, Obama's base considers this country guilty, in terms of foreign policy. Josh, thanks much.

I don’t think anyone here should deify Ms Logan. Do an internet search and add words like affair, home wrecker and slut and see what comes up.

She could be the sleaziest person in the world, but if she’s willing to tell me the truth I’d take her above any other reporter.

Somebody just commented about Joran Van Der Sloot impregnating a woman while on an unsupervised visit - saying that the more heinous the crimes against women, the more women line up to bear his children. It’s way past time that real feminists heard what Obama’s pals have been up to, and that an Islamist America under Obama and the Muslim Brotherhood would make anything Mitt Romney would do to “slow down” women seem like a walk in the park.

The world needs to hear what Lara Logan is saying, and I’m thankful that she has the guts to say it. They say a conservative is a liberal who’s been mugged. Maybe Lara is undergoing some re-thinking now that will affect the whole rest of her life. 180-degree turnarounds are definitely allowed - thank GOD!

Liberal females are staggeringly naive when it comes to their true vulnerability in the rest of the world.

For the last 20 years I’ve been reading out exchange students, Peace Corps volunteers, vacationers, reporters, etc. going to help the poor 3rd worlders, only to be summarily raped as soon as they arrived.

Sadly, many of them feel a deep obligation not to report it, so as not to cast their cause or pet 3rd worlders in a bad light.

There was one such lefty-student program for college women that came to light a few years ago. For over a decade, every young woman that arrived was taken to the head office and raped the moment she arrived. And not one of them wanted to report it back to the program.

Leading from behind...that might mean something totally off the wall to a down low Chicago guy. I think it means taking Islam up the poop shoot.

Just as an experiment I am gonna compile a diverse list of 50 famous women and spend an evening Googling their names combined with “home wrecker” or “slut”.

Very curious what I will find.

Lara Logan may have had a radical awakening. She had months to recover and rehabilitate her reason.

Seems in that time she has opted to step up, step out and speak truth to power, from a precarious perch— network news.

Now, what will she do with her vote in the wake of her demonstrated courage of going against the media tank, in it for Obama? Yikes.

Not that I'm inclined to "deify" anyone, but I did look her up...

Ugh. You are right. She's immoral and a slut. At least she's telling the truth, and not allowing herself to be bought off..this time.

Joe Burkett was a soldier from Texas. Let me say, I'm ASHAMED of him for chasing after this piece of cheap tail.

What can you expect from a liberal woman, though, except they're no better than they should be, as the saying goes? IMO, most of our RINOs have been ruined by their liberal, immoral wives, second wives...third wives.

My previous post in case you missed it:

What we are facing with militant islamonazism is a world wide guerilla war.

Not all muslims support Bin Laden and his ilk. Most would prefer to not live in the 7th century. They should be recruited as allies.

I began studying guerilla warfare in 1966. Our efforts in this very long war have been noble, but we must continually improve our strategy and tactics. Our actions should be effective while spending the minimum in blood and treasure.

My suggestions:

1. Declare war on islamonazi IDEOLOGY and LEADERS regardless of what they call themselves, what country they live in, and what citizenship they hold. I mean a real Declaration of War by both houses of Congress and signed by Pres. Romney. This allows us to go after the enemy EVERYWHERE. The terrorists know no boundaries and neither should we.

2. Expand our cultural options and do as they do in the Middle East: Employ assassins and spies.

In any guerilla war, the best man to send after the guerilla is a local boy who knows the culture, language, etc. and can blend in. If we can take out Ahmadinejad and 40,000 of his followers at a rally in Tehran with a MOAB...cool. If we send a single mercenary to poison an imam in Saudi Arabia...very cost effective.

Take out the imams (Enemy Leadership) and the people who finance them (Logistics). Let them know there is a price to be paid.

3. Exploit inter-tribal warfare, national rivalries, and local feuds. We have been fairly successful with this strategy so far. We need to enshrine it as a pillar of our strategy.

4. Capture should be preferred over killing the enemy. In accordance with the Geneva Convention, POWs can be held until hostilities are over which, in this war, means NEVER! Jihadis don’t fear death, but they fear a lifetime of cruel incarceration and interrogation. Our enemies must know that when captured, THEY ARE NEVER GOING HOME AGAIN.

I suggest using private contractors who are paid to incarcerate the jihadis and extract intel from them while never disclosing where they are kept. They cannot be freed if no one knows where they are. How about a converted tanker sailing far from sea lanes?

5. When possible, capture the families of jihadis and put them in shelters for abused spouses and children. Once again, DO WHAT THE ENEMY FEARS MOST.

Jihadis fear losing religious and ideological control of their women and children. If it strikes fear into their hearts, it is a DETERRENT BETTER THAN DEATH.

6. In the long run we need to bring muslims into the 21st century. The young people are restless. We need to ally ourselves with the leaders (cultural, religious, and political) who want to bring their people out of darkness.

There are alternatives such as genocide. However, even Machiavelli, who had much wisdom to teach, would counsel that it is a bad idea to kill off your allies or sell them out. It ruins your reputation as a country.

Looking back at other wars that went badly in the beginning, e.g., WWII, we need to have vigorous debate over the right course of action in this war.

I am all for constructive critique of our past efforts while respecting that our soldiers and leaders, e.g., Rumsfield, did the best they could.

So to you, quoting what someone says is deifying them.

You certainly have a low bar for deification.

What is your bar for mere sainthood?

This isn't just any guerilla war; it is a religious war, one that currently employs guerilla tactics in some places, terrorism in others, and full frontal assault where they think they can make it work... Hence, it is an all-out total war, at least on their part. To defeat them, means to defeat every single one of them to the depths of they tortured psyches. I do agree with you on one thing: do it for as little money as possible.

My solution: destroy the faith by ridicule of its supposedly invulnerable central icon, the Kaaba. Send a B2 from the central US, and carpet bomb it... with pigs. Dead pigs everywhere. Photograph the hell out of it. Then, amid all the screaming, wailing, and global outcry, give them 24 hours notice to get out of town. Make it really clear. Then level Mecca, completely, not a single standing stone. Show them what power means.

Then, and only then, invalidate Islam for ever. Expose the lie that is the Koran with the archaeological data (that Yemeni copy would do nicely). Teach them the vacuity of their faith. Leave them empty and defeated.

Then send missionaries to save them from their damned existence.

I think there are practical limits to what we can do in this war. Our own people would not accept bombing Mecca.

The first step is to educate our own people in the West that there IS a war.

As for totally destroying islam, I do not think it is reasonable. When religions are attacked, they sometimes get stronger and more fanatical.

Islam will be harmed more by drugs, sex, and rock’n’roll. Give them free HBO. Lady Gaga will do more than a fleet of B-2s.
